Not gonna lie. We have a staffy mix. He’s about 35 lbs at 10 months old. Best dog I’ve ever had. Hands down. He’s amazing with my two boys. And the dude is a cuddler! Does well with recall and is just always SO happy.

Piglet's loyalty to her pack people is UNRIVALED! She must check on everyone's location when we come back fron her 3x daily sojourns down the road to her 💩 patch. So easily trained to do darn near everything! Heck all commands I've taught her she does thru voice or hand command. WITHOUT training she has adopted to several things. For instance, if we're walking along and i drop the leash she somehow intuitively knows that wasn't a, " go run free, " drop and merely a accidental drop and she stops, sits and stays automatically until I pick up the leash again! It's fantastic! Piglet is a blue brindle and white female. She's also ODDLY large for thr breed standard. Bout 30% taller and 40% heavier from the seemingly universal 30-45lbs standard female staffy weight. She's 57-59lbs from age 2 - 7.75 yrs old now.

Living in the UNITED STATES and having a STAFFY is tough in terms of breeders and other STAFFY owners. I've been told tje staffy in the UK is the equivalent of the pitbull here in the States in regards to popularity and the dog you see that makes up half or more of the shelter dogs. My girl PIGLET is the BEST dog I've EVER had, most easily house trained, easily trained to do the core necessary commands, most easily taught to do non-conventional things. I've got her trained to do all these things thru VOICE and/ or HAND signals. She's about to turn 8. Given hoe scarce breeder's are here and how rare they are here in the 🇺🇸, I am ALREADY nervous about what happens when I need to buy another. The way I attained Piglet was lightening strike, lottery ticket lucky so I'm definitely not counting on that way again if/ when natural death or some kind of health problem were to occur with her.

We got a rescue staffie. Your video is spot on. While we loved Jordi (a brindle staffie), we were also constantly limited in what we could do. We could not leave her for long periods. We would spend 2 hours walking every day and have to fight against her huge prey drive . It was hard work. I love staffies - but if I ever get another dog - it won't be a staff

I got a rescued staffie in January. When i saw him in the rescue centre he looked so adorable. the rescue centre gave me lots of rules about how he needed to be muzzled and he was not good with other dogs. well, he is wonderful with other dogs and he is so laidback. He is extremely affectionate. i can see people are weary of him but i was that person before i got one. I actually prefer people to be distant from me. He is 7 now and he has settled in so well. He walks to heel and he can be a bit stubborn and he is extremely bad-tempered about being dried but time will sort out his little ways. I do feel that exercise and also lots of kindness help.

I have a concern I’m hoping someone could help me with. I’ll try to be brief. I inquired about an Amstaff on petfinder when she was only 3 months old. By the time they got back to me with an application and then an answer from the application, two months had passed. Now it’s two months later and I’m finally hearing from the foster home where she’s been living and she’s about 7 months old now. The foster home said that she worked full time and hasn’t been able to train her much. She’s just getting crate training and hasn’t been fully potty trained. She allows her on all of the furniture and has access to the whole house. I’m a first time staffy owner and I’m wondering should I take this pup out should I get a younger one that I can train properly from a younger age? This dog will require a lot of corrective behavior training that I have zero experience doing. I pick her up in two weeks. Please help me decide. Thanks.

Both links I click do not work. I believe I have an AmStaff. She is 10 yrs old, 70 +\- #, loyal, extremely smart. I've given her commands she'd never done before - she'll look around, sniff a couple of times and do what I said. She can even spell ! Please send working links for training and if you have any - behavior modifications. She prefers to have access to the whole house. When young she was crated and was ok with it but later showed me she no longer needed or wanted that. If she cannot access a space in the house, she had torn the door frame or part of the near by wall to get to the space. She is highly tuned to everyone's emotional statis and she is a Registered ESA - for me. Thank for this channel. I just discovered it. I will be back. OH YA - and she is highly prone to Mass Cells Tumors. She's have 1 surgery where 3 were removed - 1 was Active, 1 burned off and is awaiting the removal of another Active. There are two other bumps I recently found which DOC has not seen yet. Her mom reportedly had several - with non active. How common is this and is there an solution ? Thank you again. !

And some "loving" protective staffies who have photographs lying next their young children have chewed off their face a few years later. They are instinctive killing machines, and need not only ONLY intelligent,diligent,mature owners but rigorous training and never bee in public parks unleashed.

A staffie has attacked and destroyed my Yorkie. He "playfully" according to the owner ran up to my dog, from a distance and as my mum picked my darling Jez he pushed them both over and grabbed my baby shook her and crushed her death in a split second. My mother has 2 blue eyes, a cut.lip,scratched chin, brushed right hip, scraped and bruised knees, and a bitten hand that needed doctor,anti- tet,and antibiotics. She is 83, my baby Yorkie was 9 months old. This monster killer was not on a lead, but is really "playfull",so "loving", has 3 different family members apparently who are all the owners,and randomly walk him, he is already 2!!!!! How does a killing machine EVER UNLEARN TO NOT KILL.
@sbd6Ай бұрын
Sincerely I'm sorry to hear it. By all means take legal action or do whatever you need to do, I certainly would in your situation. But I do want to throw you this. As with most terriers your Yorkie was a 'killing machine' as well. The entire breed was exclusively created to kill rats and most GLADLY still would if given the opportunity. Was he any less playful or loving? Redirects are also incredibly common in dog fights especially if you're not terribly knowledgeable at breaking it up. Irresponsible and outright bad owners exist and it's certainly not exclusive to Staffords. I don't expect you to ever come around to them, but I hope one day you do consider what I'm saying.
