I've had this problem for a yr now. I would bring it in the house and set it next to the air conditioning vent in order for it to cool down and get it running. It would drive my wife nuts having a compressor running in the dining room.😂😂😂😂😂😂

I have a similar unit and the motor will run but seems to stop when full and pop. Nothing after that unless unplugged and wait. Do you have any ideas. Seems to be a static motor. I can see the electric sparking as motor turns and then it pops and motor stops. Seems like a electric brake or something similar

my truck is a s10 98 model. I have 330,000 miles on it.. and it has a mis fire about 3 months off and on.. its been a awesome little motor.. some tell me being that many miles.. it could be internal. but their is not loss of oil pressure and not smoke or knock on the engine.. I bought the truck in 98 brand new.. with only 6 miles on it. I wish I could see what is causing the misfire p0300 and p0303 codes.. had it tuned new wires and ac iridium plugs.. and new distributor cap and rotor button.. did fine and 5 months later the codes are flashing. which is p0300 and p0303 hope I can get 400,000 plus out of it.. any idea's ?? on what to look for? a distributor relearn? or throttle position sensor. or crank sensor. just curious.. if you could let me know thank you. Probably the thermal switch is meant to be cable-tied in there so that it's in somewhat contact with what is getting hot. I agree that by letting it float in the air the sensor stays cooler and that "fixes" the symptom of cutting off the motor, but the motor is still getting warm. Whether or not the thermal switch is faulty or has a cutoff which is too low, is unknown. I removed my shroud and added an external fan to keep the motor cool, and that seems to have fixed the problem.
