    hello I have 300mbps N router and 5 mobile devices connected sometimes on one of the device or on all devices the connection is lost and the router is needed to be restart... what could be the problem? do I need new router ? mine is 10 years old when it was new nothing like that happened.

  • @network-from-home
    @network-from-home3 күн бұрын

    I would say if your router is 10 years old, you would probably benefit from upgrading it to a newer one. You may also want to check to see if there are any firmware updates you can install on your existing router. With that said, if your existing router is 10 years old the manufacturer is most likely not supporting that model of router with updates anymore. I hope this helps!

    You might have a bad/broken RJ45 connector on the end of your ethernet cable (the plastic piece at the end of the cable that clicks when it's inserted into your router). You may want to try a different ethernet cable to see if you have better luck. If a different ethernet cable works properly, it means the cable you were using previously may be broken or faulty. Good luck!

  • @network-from-home
    @network-from-home7 күн бұрын

    Normally I wouldn’t recommend WiFi repeater devices because they can affect WiFi performance and add administrative overhead to your network because it creates separate WiFi networks. Would it be possible to change the location of the router or buy a WiFi access point instead? If these are not good options for you, the WiFi extender is a good option. I hope this helps

    Worked this out for myself also checked at apple and all of these steps you mention, the exact same information is listed on apple's website however in practice, when looking though the saved list some networks have a pasword field and some don 't? Needsless to say this is the question I need answering, where is this hidden information for the networks that don't show me the password in this list?

  • @network-from-home
    @network-from-home7 күн бұрын

    In this situation, my guess is that the WiFi network password changed, or the WiFi network requires you to re-authenticate each time you want to connect to the network. In these situations, I don’t think there is any way around it. You will need to find out what the password for the WiFi network is and enter it manually to join the network. I hope this helps

    Wow so very simplistic you missed a lot on signal radiation patterns how the signals from adjacent antennas change the way the signal radiates from the antennas oh and dipole antennas radiate in a doughnut shape but only when there is one when in tuned multiples they interact with each other and it changes the radiation pattern and so does the dbm of the antenna it is something that has to be taken into account when designing a building whole building WiFi systems mobile phone towers and two way radio repeater towers.

  • @network-from-home

    Leaving it on auto will just ensure that the fastest possible connection is used. If your computer has a 1 Gbps Ethernet port, if you select 1 Gbps full duplex connection you will get the same performance. This is what will get selected anyway by choosing “Auto”, so it doesn’t make a huge difference. I hope this helps

    If Omni directional means "all directions" why move antennas at all. Doesn't make sense

  • @network-from-home
    @network-from-home11 күн бұрын

    Omnidirectional refers to the fact that the signal emitted from the antenna is in all directions perpendicular to the axis of the antenna. In other words, signal is not emitted from the tip of the antenna in a direction parallel to the axis of the antenna. This is why changing the alignment of your antennas can help your WiFi signal depending upon where the device is in relation to your router. I hope this helps. Thanks for checking out the video!

  • @nicholasmelfi4684
    @nicholasmelfi46846 күн бұрын

    @@network-from-home Omni directional would mean that they are all going to output in just that. If you are pointing the antenna that means they are linear with horizontal or vertical vertical polarity , That is what is making the change.

    Aligning the antennas at different angles to each other is not a good solution to get MIMO working with multiple streams. They are meant to be aligned in the same direction to not add additional phase shifts that make the MIMO algorithm not work as good as it can, Wifi Analyzers only listen to beacons that use RF differently than frames that are sent containing user data. You want all 3 antennas to cover the same area.so they can work concurrently.. In a 3-store building have all of them aligned horizontally, not a mi of horizontal and vertical.
