    That's awesome! I am a big advocate for donating. I started a Free Store almost 9 years ago. One of my projects this year is hygeine kits for our homeless population. That is why I am learning to make soap. One of my volunteers makes soaps and gave me the idea. So we are both going to make smaller bars for their kits. We are a not-for-profit and not a charity so can't claim it on our taxes but that's not a deterrent. There are so many ways to help, I absolutely love this! Wish me luck, my first batch is ready the end of July. I made 3 more batches. It's certainly been a learning experience!

    What % of Siberian clay I can use to get that blue pastel shade of Siberian blue clay in my CP soap

  • @thesoapcoach.
    @thesoapcoach.2 ай бұрын

    It depends on your base recipe. Some are more yellow than others. Clays also vary depending upon supplier. I have not tried that one. I don't think it is something that is available in the UK so you will need a bit of trial and error.

    If I master batch lye, how do I add Citric acid & Sugar? Can I mix both in the difference of water and later add to the master batch of lyye? Could you pls advice?

  • @thesoapcoach.
    @thesoapcoach.2 ай бұрын

    I don't use citric.or sugar but I see no reason why you can't dissolve them in your lye solution when you master batch it. As long as it is all dissolved it should be fine.

    I'd love to try hot process with my oat milk, honey and beeswax soap but I know it can be a bit of a monster with CP so I'm worried about trying it with HP. Would you say it's not a good one to attempt? Thank you very much.

  • @thesoapcoach.
    @thesoapcoach.3 ай бұрын

    I would avoid HP for anything with milk as it will most likely end up scorching. You could freeze the milk to mix your lye and then very carefully cook it but it probably isn't worth the effort if I am honest. 🤔

    Hello, I hope you are well. I saw your KZread channel. Your channel and video content are very good. Also, the thumbnail design is very attractive. But here are some problems: 1. SEO score is very low 2. No title - description - tags are SEO friendly 3. Not sharing on social media platforms and your KZread channel is a lot of trouble. As a result views, likes and subscribers are not increasing. Benefits of 100% SEO Score: 1/ Views will increase 2/ Likes will increase 3/ Customers will increase 4/ Viewing time will increase 5/ Business will increase 6/ Audience will increase. 7/ Sales will increase. So, if you want your channel to increase subscribers, views, likes and comments with proper video SEO, Google ads and monetization. It will be your right decision. Do you want to increase your SEO score?

    There is a slight buzz in this video when you talk, and it is hard to listen to. As an American soap maker, interested in what you are teaching, I wanted to tell you that it may be prudent to have a microphone that balances your volume. I find myself adjusting the toggle a lot. I have time to listen to these type of youtubes at night when the family's all in bed and I try to keep the volume quite low and you are loud, soft, loud, soft. Feel free to delete this comment, I just wanted you to know.

    Thanks. My oils are usually room temperature (here in Florida) at 76. Then I am waiting for my lye to come down. I do get impatient , usually combing when the lye is 100 degrees F and it's been ok, so far.
