I find t so odd how they changed olive and Emma from the book to the movie. In the book Jacob liked the fire girl aka emma in the books but olive in the movie. In the book the floating girl is named olive. But the movie changed the love interest so olive is Emma and Emma is olive. So confusing smh

the biggest difference between the manga/anime Light, and this live action's light is that, the LA Light is more humanized and incredibly deepened in the span of 11 episodes. That's one of the biggest misses of the manga/anime. MA Light is from the get-go, portrayed as a probable psychopath. I found MA Light pretty...crazy for a so-called, normal schoolboy, however, it really showed how much his intelligence truly matches L's. LA kinda missed showing Light as a genius he supposedly is(a very predictable and driven by emotions), but gave him the kind of character development MA Light desperately needed. I think both portrayals are perfect, but what the world needed, but never realized so is a mix of MA and LA Light Yagami. A genius with a realistic sense of humanity. The perfect decend from normie genius to a complete psychopath. and L in both is just absolute perfection. I have zero qualms about that. Kento Yamazaki is one of the most finest people alive and they are right to cast him. He played L's role perfectly.
