Here's an idea: the owner of the field can build 10 story apartment buildings with balconies facing the stadium, and charge season passes via HOA to the tenants.
That's actually a solid concept as a inevitable compromise. Still would suck to give a inch to them though. And knowing there is other historic MLB franchises which allow for people to watch games free from bleachers atop medium density buildings like the White Sox, such a thing would be a bit insulting I feel like, and potentially could cause those other franchises to consider implementing something similar.

My wife is a regional manager for one of the apartments in the platinum area of Anaheim. They cap it at 5 stories for tax purposes. If they go above that, the state of California charges more, then they have to charge more for rent, which no one will pay. Also, they planned on building a 35 story building, but do to the boomers that live in the area, they canceled it cause they complained.
Of course they complained. Classic "but muh views" richer folks. And good to hear California's housing policies are going about as well as most expected. What a dumb tax policy to have. That only works to deter the very developments they claim they're encouraging. Thanks for the info.
@@TheCriminalViolin I agree with you by the way. There is so much they could do in Anaheim. My big beef is with Lennar and other developers. They lack any creativity or imagination. All their properties look the same. I mention Lennar cause they ar rebuilding A-Town, across from the Angel Stadium. They have owned that land for at least 15 years and didn’t start building on it until the last 5 years

The reason why the only build 5 stories, is apartments can build up to 5 stories using wood construction which is a lot cheaper and better for earthquakes than steel and concrete. But, yes, they could build higher.
Thats a key thing just like why los angeles has a bunch 7 stories wide boys. Once its not wood construction they build much taller to offset the cost by volume, but the risk also skyrockets. So we end up to those stumpies.
The odd thing is, modern day, many places in the most earthquake prone areas of the world have perfected and adopted wood skyscrapers. It started in Japan (as usual for earthquake safe construction methods). So it proves it can and does work without any of the safety risks associated. I have a feeling in reality what's happened is the big development companies and contractors got together with their lobbies to manufacture a false narrative that paints a picture of danger and fragility to wood structures, rather than the other (propaganda). Likely felt it easier and cheaper in reality to use other materials, while it clearly cuts way down on costs when it comes to the overall planning, studies, permits, and construction of much larger structures. Also, just for context, I am from Cascadia, so I am extremely familiar myself with all the earthquake/megaquake proofing work going on now with all infrastructure, buildings and developments.
This video is all conjecture. Watchtower is making adjustments that all business do to survive. Yes, its numbers are not great as they were two decades ago, but all businesses have hard time and Watchtower is making necessary steps to maintain relevance. I compare the process to IBM. IBM saw it was looking relevance, so made painful business decision. It is not as large as it once was but is still in business.
Yet again this technically agrees with one of my main points through this video and my inital one - The fact that they're 100% corporate (business) pretending to be a non-profit religion.

It is comical to see some exJWs get erotic-like pleasure hearing it is collapsing and then cognitive dissonance kicks in when people say it is doing okay and shows sign of long-term survival. What is happening today is a gift compared to the three worse times of Rutherford and yet it survived. Watchtower is a Networking marketing business structured as a non-profit. The way it works makes it obvious to anyone that understands money and business. I would not say it is a corporate business as it does not work like one sufficiently to qualify. My then husband while out witnessing was told, "Get of my steps or I will kick you of" My then husbands reply was, "Do that and I will break your leg" Well that went well, then they parted. He didn't stay a JW for long. Neither did our marriage last long. But it still make me laugh.

Man, it's everyone's favorite moment in this video 😂 There's a reply to a comment on this video I gave some years back where I straight up talked about the "hard r" with the belief it was referring to my ability to roll my Rs like a Spanish speaker does. I seriously thought that what everyone was referring to. Took me until 2022 I think it was to finally connect the dots, look it up and realize what was up and it referred to and was like "OOOOHHHHHH...." haha. So That day I was 28 haha. That's how long it took me to learn what people mean when they mention "hard r". I actually get stressed and tense whenever I read scripts or read stuff aloud in a "official capacity" like this, so I have to take breaks during it just to let go and breathe for a bit before continuing. My breathing gets all kinds of fucked up from it. Further lends my hand to my improv abilities. And _TECHNICALLY_ in certain sociological and psychological studies, would also lend a hand to suggest that's how much I value speaking from the heart and mind without a filter, and truth, and have issues with things like scripts because the only reason for scripts is to control what is being said and narratives/information. But who knows really.

Then my mom the LIAR told everyone I ran away as I was running from friends couch to couch and wasn’t able to finish school because I told the elders the truth that I didn’t want to be baptized that my mom was forcing me so they told her they wouldn’t go any further with me
According to their usual line of "reasoning", it would be claimed it is because it makes you a "danger to their spirituality and standing with Jehovah", as it means "you are of the world" making you "a bad influence". And the chance that it leads you to become a "apostate" furthers their insistence to distance and shun you, even if you are still a minor. In reality, all it makes you is a heretic, which is what they deem "apostasy". It definitely doesn't help when you experience that kind of treatment at that age, then suddenly they switch it up and still effectively manipulate and gaslight you with "friendship" and "support" if you come back, and they allow for you to be invited to meetings and be said hello to (but still no other social interactions or association). I'm so sorry you had to go through that, and I encourage you to seek therapy for it. It really is becoming a huge aid for those of us who were born into it, and/or were a part of it, even if we never got baptized. I touched on this in my follow up to this video, as I felt it was important to do, and give the information that there is so many of us now that have gone into therapy that they are working to develop a specialized form of therapy specifically for those of us who were a part of high-control groups and cults like JWs and Mormons. I think the reason people think Freeways are highways is because they just did not know that their local main street was the most likely an example of a highway. Highways can be one lane each way, but they're always in rural areas where that's the case, which I mentioned in this video. But in urban and suburban regions, highways are never one lane each way.
