Hi Deepti, I spent over 35 Euros on bus and luas within 6 days in Dublin without capping ? is his normal ? should I contact customer service?
Adult leap card weekly capping is 32 euros from Monday to Sunday on a multi mode (bus, dart, luas). If you have proof of the extra amount spent from your app during this period then go ahead and raise a complaint.
@@DeeptiKulkarni_ thanks alot
Hi. Nice video. How to reach Trinity college from Dublin airport? Thank you.
It’s super easy to get to trinity college from airport as it’s in the heart of the city. You can simply board private coach buses like Dublin express or air coach that you fine right outside Dublin airport terminal exit (7 to 12 euros). You can also take a taxi (aprox 30 euros). To know more about coach buses pls watch my video kzread.info/head/PLDwr0ONsFUjtha3hCQfLqN03uMQFEpjGG&si=WsKVvYjBydIZyvwT. @@DeeptiKulkarni_ THANKS
tip for not l forgetting or losing leap card: put it on the back of your phone transparent cover
Love the idea
Its not required to show hand for Bus in Dublin 😂
The driver wont stop if you do not signal him
I just watched two of your videos and they are excellent. Thank you .
Thank you so much for your appreciation. Means a lot
You will have to do a video about the fare increase 20 c on leap card and 30c for cash payment. 😊
Thank you. That’s a good tip. Appreciate it
I like your channel
Happy to hear
Do you live in ireland

Very informative and straight to the point. Greetings from UAE 🇦🇪

Regards losing a Leap Card - maybe consider wearing a lanyard card holder with the Leap Card in it. I keep my Freedom Pass in a lanyard card holder; I consider it reduces the risk of losing it. I do however need to ensure it is securely back in the card holder after having taken it out to put on the Oyster Card reader.
Nice tip!
Does Apple Pay work too?
You cannot use apply pay to tap on the card validator machine. You can only use leap card to tap if not you can buy tickets from the ticket matching using Apple Pay
@@DeeptiKulkarni_ thank you! Your videos are very informative and helpful
Will Dublin transport take cash thanks
Buses will take only coins and not notes. For luas and dart you will have to buy tickets ahead in time by using the ticket machine. Ticket machines Accept cash

Great review! Is there good public transportation in the city of Dublin?
Yes there is please watch my video: Public Transport Options in Dublin kzread.info/dash/bejne/rI52zraNe73Hd9I.html
👏👏good information 👍
Thank you
Nice and very informative video,Deepti. The luxury of the breath taking view of the city from these buses is worth all the effort and money in boarding one of them. The grandeur of this fascinating city,Dublin, can best be experienced in any of these Hop-on and Hop-off tour buses. Expecting many more such informative videos from you in the coming days...👍
Thank you for your kind words 😉
Does each person in your group need a Leap card or can you swipe one card multiple times?
You can use one leap card multiple times for the same person but you cannot use one leap card to pay for multiple people
@@DeeptiKulkarni_ Perfect! Thanks! So a family of four needs four cards.
I would not use them as they're overpriced and most of the sights are within walking distance. For half the cost of the tour buses one can see beautiful places along the DART network even the views from the train are breathtaking. Like London Dublin has walking tours that are free they take you where the tour buses can't go so these would be good if you are on a tight budget or the cost of a tour bus changes your mind.
That’s right hop on hop off buses are relatively high in price when compared to visitor leap cards that lets you travel unlimited within dublin by using the public transport.
Nice...
Thanks so much
Good one..
Thank you
I remember the 747/757 in Dublin do these still run? I normally get a visitor leap card to explore Dublin in which these are amazing as they have the Dublin bus airport express included as well as unlimited bus, train and luas.
Please note the visitor leap cards are not accepted private coach buses like dublin express or air coach
@@DeeptiKulkarni_ it must of changed since I last went in 2019 but Dublin is still an amazing place to visit even better now as British citizens can travel passport free to the whole of Ireland but before Brexit I had to use my passport. Hopefully on the 17th of August I'll be back on a plane to Dublin by using my London bus pass to gain my boarding pass.
You can also buy and recharge your Leap Card in any Post Office This is for the Adult Card 26+ anyone 19-25 years of age, should apply online for the Young Adult Leap Card, It cannot by purchased locally, Online only, 90min Fare €1, Daily/Weekly caps: Bus €2.80/€11 Luas €2.80/€11, Train €3.80/€14.80 Multimode €4/€16
Thank you for sharing
I’m a little confused about using leap card on dart. If we have leap card do we not have to purchase tickets? Just scan the barrier on the way in and then on the way out?
You can pay either by buying tickets or by tapping the leap card. You can buy tickets from the ticket machine that are placed before the barrier gates in station. You can then use the tickets to swipe on the barrier gate to open it or you can use a leap card to tap on the barrier gate.
@@DeeptiKulkarni_ok but you do always need to purchase tickets for the dart? Not just tap leap on way in and then when you get off like the luas? I have leap card and want to know if I can just scan it when getting on and off. Or do I actually need to use the ticket machine?
Brilliantly well put together and presented. A lot of thought and work went into the editing. There are also the Arrow trains not mentioned.
Never heard of them or used them. Where do they run ?
@@DeeptiKulkarni_ Deepti, Rani, they run West from Grand Canal Dock to Maynooth, and from Heuston to Hazelhatch.

@@DeeptiKulkarni_ 🙏😊
Wow 2 terminals and they call them 1 and 2? Thats great!😂
Yes I know it sounds obvious but at some places the terminals names might not be aligned to this standard. Like although there could be two terminals they could be named and 3 and 4 and not 1 and 2. This could happen in a case where the older terminals gets closed due to modernisation of the building itself and they don’t want to rename the new terminals to 1 and 2 as they would not be in the same location and they don’t want to misguide people who are familiar with terminal 1 and two locations. So in such cases the airport could only have two terminals and still be called 3 and 4 so I explicitly wanted it to be clear .
London Heathrow airport could be a good example of how the terminal names might now always be aligned to the number
Hi, this August my Wife, Daughter & myself will be visiting Dublin for the 1st time ever from Canada. This video was very informative. How do we use the Leap card when getting on and off all 3 forms of transport? Where can we purchase the Leap card? Any suggestions for eating out on a budget? besides pubs and restaurants are there any other food franchises that you can suggest? is there any transportation Apps we can download before arriving for taxis and ride sharing? Thanks

Beautiful place. Is public transportation accessible from City center to this place? Thanks,
Yes there are buses
Nice one 😊
Thank you ☺️
Not for me thank you. I've got the balance of an inebriated giraffe! 🦒🍾💥🤕
It is still worth coming to Ireland with the protest we see all around the country's territory.like they are fed up with immigrants coming to their country.
As long as you’re paying taxes to the country, the country is growing and making money from you. So think of it more like your actually helping the country but obviously on the other hand if your not working and depending on country’s social security you become a burden.
@@DeeptiKulkarni_ Thanks for the enlightenment.Ur such a Darling.More Grace to your Elbow.
Very good video, am traveling to Dublin next month so i have a question, can i pay with bills on the public transport? i know i won´t get any change but can i do it?? thank you.
You cannot pay with notes to use public buses. Public buses only accept coins or leap card. However you can buy tickets for the luas or dart from the ticket machine using coins, cash, debit, credit, leap cards, google pay or Apple Pay

i want to go from dublin to belfast so will there be any border or immigration?
Yes you will need UK visa if your not EU citizen
@@DeeptiKulkarni_ Correction Deepti: There are no border checks, immigration, or customs between north and south Ireland. Once you are on the island, you can travel to any city unhindered. There are also no checks if you get the ferry from Belfast to Scotland, but you will need to use an Irish address when booking the ferry online.
@@cliddily May be there are no checks but i don’t go by that but more go by the law. It’s not legal for Indian passport holders to across borders without a valid visa from UK. If your caught it could be a Serious offence so better not take risks always go by the law.
Hi. I have a question, if we buy our tickets in advance and our flight gets delayed could we use them for a later time?
If you buy tickets for Dublin express you get a 12 hours stand by. Which means you can board any dublin bus for the same route 12 hours before or after your actual booking time. So that way you must be okay. But air coach has more strict rules. You can only travel for the time you have purchased the Tickets . Please check out this video where I explains all this more in detail: Dublin Airport to Dublin City: Most Economical Transport Options kzread.info/dash/bejne/pKGHxLKciNS5XZM.html
