What’s the name of the tool used to turn it counter clockwise . Trying to figure out standard thread size at my local hardware store
Is this something that I can do? And not need a professional?
Our gas was turned off to add a gas line. When turned back on, we had no hot water and NO CODE ERRORS. What does it mean when you have absolutely NO CODE LIGHTS come on?
A worthy opponent, but thanks to this video it unfortunately was no match for Joe
I always called other people to do this. I was tired of doing that. Your video helped me - I did it!
Thanks, easygoing!
Can replace a honeywell with a resideo?
Very helpful. Mine is the drain valve, front little spout thing. How do I “snug it up” or re check the thread?
Thank you so much
Getting the gasket in is the hardest part
i could be wrong but isn't flow meter supposed to be before the filter?
Way to skip some important steps... down vote
IM KILLING MYSELF IM KIFLGIN MYSELF IMKKIGN MYSELF
This guys advice worked..first time every time
Thank you so much for your video! I replace thermal coupling, check my thermal switch and I’ve had no success and keeping the pilot lit I know what to look for when I change the gas valve.

Thank you, this was very helpful. As a first time home owner all this type of stuff is new to me. I was able to clear a stubborn clog in a matter of minutes.
This is good and helpful
Just completed this replacement thanks to your video. Thank you very much for taking the time to demonstrate and explain the process perfectly!
Good video... Fast and to the point........
🏆 Thank you. For the first time in my life, i just followed your instructions and relit my own hot water heater pilot light 🔥. You helped save money for me and my family. Thanks
Pan?
If you fit the too loose first, there will be more play to insert the lower gasket
This is the best video out there for unclogging. Showing the piping behind the wall is perfect. Thank you!
Straightforward and to the point. No useless rambling commentary. Thanks.
Nice video
Helped me fix my tank. Thanks!
I love you my mom would have beat my ass
This was wonderful! I wish I could find information on a hybrid water heater. Ours is electric, but can be run on gas instead? It's been on electric but went out sometime recently and I cannot find much information. I'll look at electric water heaters next and see if I can bridge the knowledge. Thank you for the informative video! (OR I'm a dumb-dumb and though it was both, since that's what I'd been told, but the label clearly says gas!)
Hi if it was leaking and not anymore, should I worry?
When gas line pass through a masonry wall. It should be double sleeve.
Can I replace my water heater control valve if it is slightly different? The only difference is my old one has a orange knob on the top of it, and the new one does not.
THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO DO IT MYSELF!
What in the heck do you do if you have a set screw but cannot actually see it to loosen it. I’ve tried to use a small dental mirror with a light to find it and I’ve tried using my phone camera to take photos of the area and I simply cannot locate it. My spout will not spin at all and sure feels for all the world as if it’s locked in place. And I’m the one who put this faucet on years ago and I remember there being a set screw but I sure can’t find it now. I don’t want to call a plumber for something so stupid but I’m stumped at this point.
Work instantly lmao It was a very crappy situation and i should've learnt my lesson
I Want to buy it's
These instructions were great. I replaced one slip-on spout following them and I think it went fine. I just went to replace my other spout with a different kit and it was a bit more involved. I don't think it had an o-ring. It had me put a small piece that the set screw was attached to first, then a compression ring, then a longer piece with a threaded end. After tightening all of those and the set screw I had to put teflon tape on the threaded end and screw the faucet on. I'm guessing this kit was more oriented to thread-on systems and this was basically an adapter.
Curious....you didn't show the 4th type of strainer(the ones with 3 thumb screws or Philips screws) Which appeared to be nice because the basket won't spin when you're tightening it.... But I don't know I've never used one. Of the strainers that you did showcase which one seems to be the best?
Terrific.
Clogged the toilet at work 😬
A couple of things to note. In this video, the main burner tube connection has right-hand threads (righty tighty, lefty loosey). My Honeywell gas control valve (looks just like the one in the video) has left-hand threads. If you can't get yours loose turning one way, try the opposite direction. Also, the main burner and pilot light tube nuts have to be PERFECTLY STRAIGHT going back together. If they are not, you risk cross-threading or stripping threads. Don't tighten until you can get the nuts in by hand for a few turns. Since the pilot light tube is rigid, it can be very hard to get reconnected. It took me about 20-25 minutes to get it right. Be patient, don't get mad and try to force it it. The good news is, I was able to replace the gas control valve by myself. The bad news is that the pilot light still will not stay lit. On to the next possible cause.
Thank you, worked like a charm
I live in a 1950's ranch with no basement access (in Florida). Is there any danger at all of the underneath drain line plumbing falling and us not being able to retrieve it? With other things that have been done to this old house, I fear that it was not properly installed and/or supported underneath the house?
very very nice
I HAVE NO FLASHES FROM THE LED , THE LED IS ALWAYS OFF, IS THAT A THERMOPILE PROBLEM ?
I can't thank you enough, I've been dealing with this for 6 years and it took the soul out of me, you're a life saver
Very informative thank you
