this show is really about grief. every moment is about unmanaged grief. The restaurant is important, sure, but everything that goes wrong is becuase Carmy and Richie are grieving and can't deal with it.
Richie and Carmy have known each other since they were in grade school probably. so this is a relationship with a long history. and they're both grieving and neither of them are dealing with it AT ALL. it's like they look at each other and all they see is Mikey. :(. I am loving watching you all react to this show and discovering it. Loving the discussions.
Okay Ava is the worst but I must confess that she just had me dying laughing with that chair fall 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gregory is the best !
That plug was NOT European, at least not Continental European but I think it might be English
sydney in the walk-in was very representative of restaurant workers. going into the walk-in freezer and crying is very therapeutic bc it’s the only quiet place 😭😭
3:26-3:28 YES IT IS😊😊
😁😁😁😁
Another great reaction. I think Tina feels threatened by Syd. A younger, well trained chef coming in and she doesn't have professional training so she lashes out and sabotages Syd. I think everyone dislikes Tina and Richie at the start of the series. Yet everyone also forgets Tina lost a boss she liked and Richie lost a best friend he has had since he was a little kid.
😂Every time I watch that veal stock scene, I also yell, noooo!
🥰🥰🥰
You guys make a lot of made up scenario about richie lol
This is true.
you guys do realize that Richie also lost his best friends?
Yep. We discuss this in a later episode. But yes.
Nice reaction. Also, I was wondering if you both had a St. Louis accent...and you do ha! *checked comments* I'm originally from N. Stl.
Yes we do! *LOL* Nice!
I know it can be hard, but please don’t close yourselves off to Richie too much. He’s not that bad lol
Oh! Of course! We have a hard time with him and Tina for only a few episodes and then that changes. *LOL*
YES!!! FINALLY. I hope you two are buckled in because this show is a hell of a ride
Season 1 was WILD!
funny you should bring up The walking dead lol his name is Camen though you were right
Nice!
I need to turn my mic down...and lose weight. i can hear myself BREATHING....ugh... 🥲
trust me...the show has us ALL like this lmaooooo
@@powertrip25 😅
Don’t worry about that, it doesn’t take away from the reaction in the slightest. You’re good.
Yes! :D
Richie is tough to deal with but please try to remember that although it’s a show about cooking, the overarching theme is definitely grief and loss. For all the characters.
I think no one realizes that Richie lost his best and oldest friend because he hides his grief behind lashing out.
@@BAD46660 absolutely. He (and most of them for that matter) certainly are not dealing with it well but I kept thinking how people grieve in different ways. I think a lot of people lock in with Carmy too and then anything going against his vision is met with less understanding. Just an observation.
This is true! We definitely totally missed that point early on. 😅
@@PopJibberish It’s understandable. He is pretty damn insufferable to this point. lol
Thank you, Patrons! Uncle Jimmy is one of my favorite characters. I think he's just connected.😉
I think so too! 😅
Season 3 got releasesd today. It woul be awesome if we were caught up on these two seasons before Season 3 ends.
Patreon has a few weeks of episodes already. We're already done Season 1 going into Season 2.
Dry ramen, peanut butter, and chili oil. Amazing combo, def recommend giving it a try
you guys analyzing way too much
Thanks! It's what we do! :D
15:00 I know I'm late, but if the episodes feel different it is because Tim Burton only directed the first half of the season (episodes 1-4) and couldn't direct the rest of the season due to scheduling issues. Love your reactions!
Ah! Nice info. Thanks for that!
the first episode always reels everyone in LMAOO pristine show from start to finish!! 10/10
It really did! We're already hooked! 😁
Sometimes you have to remind yourself to breathe. 🔪They will reveal the origin of the nicknames.
I'm sure they will. 😁 We're already done Season 1 going into Season 2.
Don't feel bad for not talking. This show is sensory overload at times. Trust me your body language and facial expression convey your reactions till you are ready to verbalize your reaction. Between the layers of audio, video cuts and fast paced acting everyone misses somethings. Christopher Storer does a great job of pulling you in and stressing you out.
SERIOUSLY! I mean good gracious. *LOL* Its so compelling! 😅
The denim is from when he was making good money in New York. Vintage denims sell for anywhere between $700-$3000
Whoa! Did not know this. 😅
I believe Carme, is related to Gene wilder, this is the best I love this show ❤❤
That is click bait on line, not true
I can see how people can get that mixed up without a bit of research, they have very similar features. *LOL* 😅
3:15 does he not look like a young Gene Wilder? He could totally be cast for a Willy Wonka role. Also first time watching you guys, very excited to see your reactions to this show. Stumbled upon it two years ago when I was down bad after a covid shot and said fuck it I guess I'll watch this. Binged the whole first season and was obsessed. It's such a stressful, wholesome, emotional, and heartwarming story with great acting and cinematography.
I agree! He looks similar. Thanks for the watch, more to come. Glad you like the show, so do we! 😅
Also, Ayo who plays Sydney plays Janine’s sister on Abbott.
they said that in their intro
Yep! She's great! 😅
Also, in the first episode of Abbott season 3 Ava calls Gregory “Jeremy Allen Black” which is a play on the lead actor from The Bear whose name is Jeremy Allen White. Lol
OH! Wow! Did not catch that! 😅
Carmen gave up pieces from his vintage denim collection to get the meat to keep the restaurant open. Vintage denim is worth a lot of money.
That's pretty wild. 😅
Yay!!!!
YAY! 😊😊
amazing show :> Yeeees chef
So good! 😊
Sorry for the audio, we were having some audio interference. I am addressing it best as possible. 😔
This.
OH MY GOD!!!! So happy yall are reacting to this. One of the best shows in a while. Very different vibe from Abbott but it is so fulfilling when you take the ride. Excited for yall and anyone else finding the show now 🐻
😁
YASSSSSS 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
😁😁
The way I screamed “tell him Erika!!” When she set Gregory straight! She always has Janine’s best interest at heart. Her impressions of Barbara and Melissa too 😂😂😂
YES!! This! *LOL*
I hope we get some cute dating scenes with them
Agreed! 😁
“There’s no out of character moments for her because her whole character is out of character” when the series started, I never thought Barbara would be a character to have some of the funniest lines. 😂
I know right! 😁
I was watching the episode with my grandma and she was so confused on why I was so hype and shouting
🤣🤣🤣
You 2 have the best reactions to Abbott Elementary. This episode restored my faith in Team Granine, because I was ready to quit watching after the playground episode. Quinta & Co. did an amazing job this season! My prediction: I have a feeling next season, they will time-jump to them dating and living together. Can't wait!!
THANK YOU! We love this show, and glad you do too! Yeah, that's a prediction I can get behind, but we never know! 😁
The talk between Mr Johnson and Janine almost made me tear up, she really needed that sort of parental advice 🥹 Loved this finale! Can't wait to see them together in Season 4!!
She did! It was EXACTLY what she needed to hear. Loved it! 🥰
I've Been Waiting On This Reaction 🔥🔥💙
😁😁
So happy that Janine and Gregory finally got together!!
Same! 😁
I hope Greg and Janine don’t decide to just remain friends season 4 episode 1. That will be so lame!
I may quit watching if that happens.
I know right! They'd better not! 😁
I Loved that Gregory & Janine finally got together ❤️ ❤❤I knew when they finally got together it when epic and well worth the wait.!!! Mr Johnson definitely was The MVP of this episode 👏🏾 🙌🏾 🥇 I loved the growth in Janine's character this season. That she is finally learn to love herself! I can't wait to see even more growth in Janine, Gregory and the other teachers next season, and see the love blossoming with Gregory & Janine ❤ #teddie 🧸
I LITERALLY WAS SCREAMING AT THE T.V. FOR JANINE AND GREGORY TO GET A MOMENT TOGETHER FOR MOST OF THE EPISODE AND ALSO WHEN GREGORY LEFT😅 I WAS LIKE YOU BETTER GET BACK IN THAT APARTMENT 😂
*LOL* !! I know right!! 😁😁
@@PopJibberish 😂😂😂
IK JANINE AND GREGORY ARE FINALLY TOGETHER 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏾🙌🏾
YES!! 😁
