Class act
I’m from Missouri. My mother was from the Tennessee hills I grew up on this music knew a lot of the Stanley brothers , Little Jimmy Dickens , the Carter family and so many others. I was a teenager in the 70’s and didn’t appreciate these old timers now in my 60’s and proud my mother introduced me to mountain music.
The voice of bluegrass
Used to go to bluegrass festivals all over Virginia and North Carolina. Bill Monroe would be up on stage playing and our group would be up in the camp ground playing music ourselves. We didn’t stop to go see him play on stage. Happened like that numerous times. We just took it for granted. Wished I’d gone down to watch him more now that he’s gone. Too late now. I have got my picture taken with him one time though. Still have that picture.
This amazing video tells us a wonderful love story about these talented song writers. This is the music I grew up listening to and loving.
Excellent and richly deserved tribute! 👍

An awesome singer and beautiful LADY 🌈🌄🌠💐🙋♂️😍❤
Keith Whitley je pro mě nejlepší zpěvák, sympatický muž s krásným hlasem, jeho písně ráda poslouchám a děkuji za jejich sdílení ❤
Nice tribute..you got all the dates right which for years no one else has been able to do. A lot of those pictures in this are my personal photo's. I was with Keith for nearly 9 years and also from the Crowe days. In all those years I never saw Keith take a drink of anything. No one in the band drank so there was never any alcohol on the bus. Lorrie said herself she'd never seen Keith drink anything but tea and diet Pepsi. He never died of alcohol poisoning and hopefully one day the truth will prevail.
Country music is finished now. R.I.P Keith. ❤
Bill Monroe was known as the father of bluegrass and rightfully so but Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs are the ones that put it on the map!
One talented band full of absolutely NOTHING I want to hear grooveless souless sterile generic GARBAGE
She has 27 grammys for a reason.
Great documentary!!
RIP Bobby, singing in heaven with Sonny now...
Love, Love Alison Krauss, I ha a live CD a DVD came with it. I think I wore it out. So it's on ❤❤my phone now.❤❤❤
Awesome scale town 😃 wonderful models
As a child I remember the big family dinners followed by family members pulling out the instruments. Grandpa on fiddle, uncle and cousin on guitar or whatever else they felt like playing and grandma on the piano. Alison's music always takes me back to those days and I will always be thankful for that. Her voice is like an angel from the past that just consumes my spirit sometimes to tears, but always lifts me up in the end.
I think her voice has the same effect on all of us. Thank you for sharing those precious memories.
Thanks for sharing the history of the Stanley's
I always tell people, "if you want to know the definition of harmony, listen to their rendetion of Cabin on the hill"
Regarding Elvis, Bill was quoted as saying those were "powerful checks" he received from the sales of Elvis' BMOK recording.
I live in Morgantown Kentucky
Im from butler county an used to play in rosin at old barn jamboree know james real well he played with me in hartfod Kentucky
Yes they worked as standard bills son james told me that
Sad to think that in todays bluegrass market Flatt and Scruggs wouldnt even be 3rd teir band.

Many interesting facts are left behind, such as the everlasting conflicts with his bandmates. And why he mistrusted so many people who supported him. Based on his unhappy childhood - he never trusted anyone.
My Heart ❤️ Aches So Much Since You Passed Away😢😢😢😢😢 Gone But Not Forgotten 😢😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤ Rest In Peace Toby Keith Coval 😇 🙏
