It would be really nice to know exactly what materials (the names of the materials that I will find then under at the store) you are using (& where I'd be able to purchase said materials) to make the whip (at least for me, since I've not ever in my half century of living made a whip).... Please N Thanks

Hello, I am Michel. I have a question. I am from Syria, from Damascus. How do I get this piece and what is its price? Our post office is closed due to the wars, and I think it is very, very, very suitable for my work. Thanks

Great video mate. Would it be possible to see how you setup your desk for braiding? Have you made a frame, jig or use 1 or 2 vices? It would be nice to see how a professional sets up his workplace. Thank you for your videos. Much appreciated.

If you don't mind my asking, I understand you're getting the diameter of the whip with that caliper, but why? Are you trying to figure out how thick each lace is going to have to be in order to get full coverage?

I'm currently making a paracord snake whip, and was hoping to find something other than that blocky knot (E) that everyone uses. I was hoping to find names for various knots to make internet searches easier. I like the oval shaped knot, and have seen some whips that seem to have the knot plaited directly into the overlay, rather than being placed over it. I can't find any tutorials for this style, but I would imagine it's probably a bit too complicated for a beginner.

For drilling the steel rod into the cane: acquire a tap and die that matches the diameter of your rod and make threads on your rod for about a 6 centimeters. Then take a metal file and file into the threads, and make a tapered "V" to a point with the groove following all the way to the tip. Make sure the groove is deep enough to allow the threads to act as a cutting surface, then use you regular technique for boring the now threaded rod into the cane. It should embed itself and hold because it is threaded at one end. It will also pull itself into the cane once you get the threads into the tip of the cane. You could also just buy threaded rod to begin with and then all you need do is to cut a cutting grove and taper the end down.
