  If you have the same noise be aware, I had same problem but mine got fixed just by changing the stroke part motor was fine and smooth, use the one that comes on original packaging , super easy to do , hope this is helpful and you don't buy motor for no reason

  Nice build! We have the similar machine only 2 group and has the same problem! we have had toothpicks plugging holes for years :) I was looking into adapting another brand machine and swapping out the steam wand but this is a good solution if one has the machines to do so. I think La Marzocco steam wands have smaller steam holes than Wega and smaller seems to give finer texture milk, which is what i want! What size hole did you go with? cheers

  Hi, thank you. I used a 1.2 mm drill bit and I drilled at an angle of 30 degrees (or 60, depends on which angle you are looking at). Maybe I should have first to drill with 1 mm and later, if it needs, with bigger drill bitt, but I immediately drilled with 1.2 mm and it turned out great (on the original part there are 5 holes of 1.5 mm each). I also reduced the boiler pressure from 1.2 to 1 bar to keep the steam temperature lower (121 Celsius)
