Come on @Rattlesnake The problem is Russia is striking Ukraine with long range weapons from their territory. You can give Ukraine all the aid you want, Russia will keep dropping bombs on supermarkets. Up to now, 2 years, Ukraine was told “you can use the aid to defend yourself but not to strike Russian territory” That does not help them defending against these long range attacks from Russia. And to continuously pander to Putin that play the nuclear card every time he is called out.. does not help.

@3:56 I have read of 12 million Germans. I'm Polish and unlike the Americans Candace mentioned I do know history. Funny thing is Candace herself seems not to know what she is talking about: a) there were three periods in which Germans left their places of residence in Eastern and Central Europe and Balkans: the planned evacuation ordered by German officials, the flight before the Red Army came and the transfer of German population ordered by victorious powers in article 12 of Potsdam Agreement. The number of 12 million German induces 1,5 million settled in Central and Eastern Europe during the war. The last wave was the largest and I'll say it once more: it was ordered by heads of state of UK, USA and USSR, and carried out almost solely by Red Army and the communist puppets of USSR. Mind you, thousands of Germans were also expelled from Denmark, Netherlands and even Latin America countries. Somehow almost no one wanted to live next to Germans after WWII... Important thing is that the evacuation, the flight and the expulsion ARE NOT ethnic cleansing (and mass expulsion of people was not included into definition of crimes against humanity until 1955, IIRC); Other important thing is that the expulsion was not limited to Germans. All told during and after WWII up to 31 million people were forced out of their homes. b) The reasons why no one wanted to live next to a Germans after WWII should be painfully obvious, but for Candace's sake let's recap (I'm not going to count military casualties): - over 20 million civilian deaths in Central and Eastern Europe: in death camps, forced labor camps, mass shootings and starvation caused by German Army and administration of conquered lands, taking all the food (Erich von Manstein was sentenced for that, among his other war crimes, BTW); - millions of rapes, including over 37 000 Jewish, Polish, Russian, Greek and French girls forced to "work" at Wehrmacht brothels; - millions deported from homes, in case of Poles alone the number was over 1,1 million; - 12 million people abducted to do forced labor in Germany, plus almost 3 million POW forced to work as well; - Germanization of children. By 1944 Germans have kidnapped over 200 thousand children from Poland and over 30 thousand from Belarus, Ukraine and Russia. The were to be raised as Germans, and most actually were as only 60 000 were returned to their original homes. Frankly speaking the Germans were only starting their grand Generalplan Ost, which included actual ethnic cleansing of not only Jews or Slavs, but also of Balts (Estonians, Lithuanians, Latvians). The plan was to exterminate about 50 million of people and force march 100 000 000 people east of Ural mountains (Germans assumed about 20 million would actually die during those death marches). Given the magnitude of German crimes during the war, can anyone believe that most of Germans did not know about them? Fact is historians state that about 2 million German soldiers and 10 million German civilians were actively involved or directly profited from those crimes. Now let's remember one more thing in election of 1932 the percentage of people supporting NSDAP in provinces east of Oder river was at least 60% voters. In East Prussia it was about 75% voters, those people WANTED Hitler in power, so he could "return Germany to the status of a great European, and even world, power" and "regain territory Germany had lost in World War I" meaning basically go to war and destroy Poland. "Innocent Germans" is a myth - all told during WWII less than 50 000 Germans actually opposed Nazi regime. That means 99,95 % Germans (and Austrians) were either actively supporting Nazi's or just followed along, no matter what horrible things their government did. And if you think of innocent children - ask anyone (or read memoirs) who actually fought 12 SS Panzerdivizion. c) the numbers of 500 thousand "murdered" Germans is stipulated as number of German civilians forced to work in Central and Eastern Europe that died from 1945 to 1955. Actually initially German authorities set that number much higher to 2-3 million. They were forced to lower the number to 500-600 thousand, by lack of evidence that such large numbers of German civilians was even deported into USSR or forced to work in newly created communist states; Most of the casualties were due to starvation and diseases: about 350 000 in USSR, up to 60 000 in communist camps in Poland (there is actual evidence of 15 000 deaths, but German historians still claim higher number), 50 000 in Yugoslavia, 30 000 in Czechoslovakia, and about 3 000 in Hungary. Now I would be amiss not to state that from 1944 to 1951 also about 150 000 Poles were imprisoned by NKWD or Polish communists, and most were send to forced-labor camps to work for the new regime. In some cases they shared camps with Germans. d) the "Children were lined up and shot" is, I am rather certain, a fabrication by Candace or her "source material", that possibly was not updated since 1950's. I know of no such large scale event. In fact largest recorded case of German children dying was the "interment camp" in Kolberg 1945 where out of 27 000 people about 14 000 died, half of them children, due to starvation and sickness. There were also the "wolf children": orphans left mostly in East Prussia. About 60 000 of them were left to dwell in the forests and Soviet authorities prohibited Lithuanians and Poles from taking them in. I have read of few shootings of boys trying to steal food from Soviet soldiers, but most of them, about 45 000, actually survived the war - they were taken into Lithuanian and in smaller number Polish homes and thought to speak and behave Lithuanians /Polish because of Soviet restrictions. 10 - 12 000 were sent to Germany in late 1940's. Sadly few thousand perished. Candace is supposed to be the “based one”, but in this case her “knowlegde” is just like this of their fellow Americans - very shallow. That tweet was designed to raise interest, not teach actual history.
