I have it with the hub mini but it never reports their state to HA. It is always Unknown there. Even when the tapping/clicking the buttons on HA works

The reason that don't supply a local API is because they want to collect data on how you use the appliance, data which actually belongs to you as the owner of the appliance. That can only be collected by a cloud based API. Then they use that remote data model to shut down your use of the appliance you paid your good money for. Just like being a serf in the middle ages.

The thing that stops me buying these are the pet situation. Is there a away for ignoring a dog reliably ? I guess not.
Would a dell optiplex 7050 be good for home assistant? Also interested in running Plex on it.
Does it require Internet to function? What if your camping with no service in rang.

Fantastic device, I've been waiting for something like these to come out! (Never discovered the earlier versions).
I love these sensors; I have 4, lol. Three are Lite, and one is One. I'm looking to replace the Aqara FP2 as I have had nothing but trouble with them. Could you make a video on how to roughly make sense of the information? It would save some time trying to figure out what they mean. (There are lots of people in the house, so it's difficult to get everyone out of one room for a period of time.) As always great videos

Ok can somone help me please!!! Or have you seen this issue- so my customer has universal remotes but when I go to prime tv on the TV app I cam go in and pick a show !! But I can not go back to home page! No mater what button I use!! I can only g o back to home screen with the tv remote

is it possible with the room icon to add another entity underneath the lights? for example the vacuum cleaner when you tap you call service vacuum start and when hold you get more info?

thanks for the awesome product i just got a question about the detecting range of the sensor.
Is it OK to mount the sensor directly to the ceiling? My apartment is almost 3meter high and in some areas I need about 5 meters of detection range.
I've checked the datasheet of LD2450 and it's suggested to be mounted on the wall, at around human height. The better option for me is potentially LD2412 with ceiling mount options, longer and wider detection range. Too bad the EP-Lite has no connection for it.

I have a quick question. The website said that it can track up to three targets simultaneously. Does that mean it can only track up to 3 people max? I had the Aqara fp2 but returned it because it got confused a lot: there are eight people at home and it has a hard time tracking when all of us are in the same area. Which in turn couldn't perform the automation properly. So if there's a limit to the amount of people that are able to be tracked, then that will determine my purchase.
