Updating Zigbee devices is huge! I hope they expand this feature quickly so more brands/devices can be updated

The dashboard can have a big update as well. Now the end user has to do difficult things to get an working dashboard which looks a bit good.

Louis, THANK YOU. I've spent over 3 months trying to figure out how to list my todo and calendar events in a template (for a morning TTS announcement). I've looked (seemingly) high and low, but it never quite worked. I copied your stuff at 6:32, changing "items" to "events" for the calendar events, and it worked like a charm. Thank you so much!

As someone who constantly says "I'm moving over to Local Tuya this month" the latest update to the Tuya intergration is brilliant news (especially as my IoT account has timed out last month). This is so quick to update and get everything running but (and I haven't checked any forums) I discovered that all my automation which used a Tuya device had stopped working. They all got a error and annoyingly I had to duplicate the automation and rename it. No changes, just duplicate and rename... Very strange but not a big issue. Great video again. 👍

Thanks for the update video Lewis! The drag and drop feature could be really useful.

I hope they also incorporate the ability to retain whatever you've "populated" when you change the category. like when you started setting the behavior on the device and realize you actually want to swap in the entity. got to hop into yaml to avoid losing everything below the branch you want to swap.

Yes... I can't imagine building any dashboard with more than about half a dozen cards using the current GUI. All of mine are defined in YAML.

Tuya's setup is really funky for a company that makes sensors or related equipment for sensors. Their integration is a full development platform that has no free/permanent option And licenses are tens of thousands of dollars It's really the worst platform to use w/ serious HA setups

My request for Geonet Volcanoes to finally get entity IDs is here too. It won't impact most people but i do try to keep things clean so being able to assign them to areas is much better

Unfortunately I do have 3 Tuya devices that just can not be *cracked* or replaced by non-Tuya alternatives - so the Tuya update makes life a lot easier. The only minor gripe with Tuya is, I have a fan with CT lights, and the warm/cool is the wrong way around in HA

The new proximity is a big improvement over the old one. Good to see Tapo better supported now, might be able to remove the HACS version soon.

Why can I only have a voice response to a sentence automation? How can I get Assist to say something on my remote devices in response to some other automation, like "The laundry is done."? I can't fully replace Alexa until I figure out how to do this.

I am not sure I see the point of the drag and drop. But maybe I have used it and haven’t thought it as I had to go to the beta to get my Tuya account working. I really hope that it’s somewhat simple to do something like exporting weekly history automated. Way to many very useful things require so many steps that it easily gets overwhelming and I would love to see optimisations and improvements to that instead. Examples of what I mean is nfc tags and getting who read the tag… you read one, then you need an automation that you tie to it being read. In that you need two blocks and name each block depending on user. Then you need to do a choose action (why isn’t it just as an if/else?) for each user and tie it to the first block which you named and from there you also need counters and labels and such, it took me 2 days to figure out such a basic feature. Or am I missing something vital?

Keeping up to date on what Home Assistant is doing. I have it on my system, but I had switched to Homey Pro for my main automations, with it being more user friendly for programming. I love the Dashboard look of Home Assistant and wish Homey Pro could do the same. Using Home Assistant to get some devices into Homey Pro, that wouldn't work otherwise.

Oh good, HA will restart on purpose instead of randomly for no reason this time.
