What if I want to run transyd but I’m not sure what fluid they’re running in it right now? If it has the spec oil is it okay to do what you did in the video but with Transynd?
Yes, you can do a drain and refill with transynd. It is backwards compatible with dex 3 and 6 which is the spec for the trans so you’ll be good to go
Love this!!! I would love to put a DT466NGD or 8.3 CUMMINs into a x80 or other large wakeboat.
I just put a 165 on my LB7 i plan on adding more powerr in the future is there anything u recommend i do til then?
There is a bunch of stuff that you can do, from steering/suspension, drivetrain or powertrain... Just depends on what you want to achieve.
Is the install the same as the 4g?
Yes it is
Any 1500 Duramax kits?
Yes, we carry a CST 4.5" lift for the 2020-2024 1500 trucks.
with the forged pistons is there the ring issue everyone talks about with forged pistons, where you have to change them every 20k-40k miles? how far can you take fingers cast oval bowl pistons if you stay below 3000rpm?
Yes, we do not recommend running a forged piston setup unless it is for a strictly race application. We have seen over 1200 hp on a set of fingers.
@@Dmaxstore i want around 2000tq but i really don't care about hp. its going in a tandem axle c7500 tow truck with a 4 door kodiak body. if it's kept below 3200rpm(probably rarely over 2800rpm) can i get 100k+ miles out of fingers cast pistons? I want to use a callies durastar crank, either boostline, socal or carillo rods, 625 head studs and arp hardware, bigger oil pump, billet mains, main girdle, s300/s400 compounds or twin s258s to a s400, frozen boost a2w intercooler, built Allison and driveline, ati balancer ect
At that power level, you are really pushing the small displacement of the Duramax engine. Our best recommendation would be to go with a larger displacement i6 diesel that was designed for that application. It is definitely possible that these pistons can hold the power but it depends on many factors as making a lot of torque low in the rpm range produces a lot of drive pressure and tuning is really going to be the deciding factor for longevity.
@Dmaxstore what would be a reliable tq number for a built 6.6 duramax or a built 6.7 cummins build? Is there a motor you recommend? I've looked at the 7.8 LG4/LF8/6HK1 Duramax/Isuzu motor but I could not find much aftermarket support for it. dt466? maybe a semi motor and auto trans? Thanks for the help, I'm a turbo LS/BBC and 4l80e guy, so this is the first big diesel project.
A Cummins X15 is in the power range that you want. I would go with something from a semi as it will be able to reliably do what you need it to do.
whats hp rating?
Review of the edge evolution cts3 on a 17 or newer l5p, haven’t found one
On banks installation guide they state to use 12 ft pounds not 22.
Has anyone intalled and ran it for a while yet? Any reviews? I just bought it but seen that the heat shield wont go back on that sucks or is it not that big of a deal?
I want to see you guys hand me the keys 😂
😂😂😂
Let’s see the build from start to finish
I thought this was a fine and helpful video. Was just about to order this product to reduce sag when towing a camper...but after watching, this product will be a hard pass for me.
What will this do to the dpf system?
We have not had any issues with the DPF of this truck after installing it.
im confused why do this when you have the emissions crap still on it
More power and the features that the app allows.
Another thing to note on these they sell a Light Duty and a Heavy Duty version. Wondering what ones we saw in the video.
They don’t make a model for the Ford expedition. Would the Ford F150 fit on the expedition?
Allison 1000 rec drain and refill or flush?
Drain and refill, do not flush
Why does no one but Gruven (from what I've found so far) offer the auxillary for rear heat connector?
Pity. I’m going to install them on my 2002 in a few weeks. Smh wish me luck
Can you do def delete
No
Did y’all get the degreez installed it?
No we did not, truck already had heated seats so we used the stock ones there but did not add the cooled seats
Why did you leave the forklift once ras was installed, looks a little fishy that way
My 02 is reading +6 on injector 2. The guy who had the truck before me said he replaced that one but never coded it in.
LB7 trucks don't require the injectors to be programmed
The point of this wasn't to avoid sag. It was for the stability, bounce/rebound.
Anything for 2024, gmc 3.0 Duramax, please
Nothing yet, hopefully soon.
I guess I would be getting a new transmission lol
Sir I believe I know the problem. It just so happens to be the bow tie. Like a rock😂😂😂
Head gaskets typical dirtymax
That's the transmission temp Guage. Not the engine coolant Guage. Learn to fucking read
No trans is ever hot! Lol 😉
How hot? Sun will do...
Trans thermostat rebuild or replacement then new fluid flush ASAP
Thats not the trans temp😂
Yes it is
What is it Bucky?
So there is a trans temp gauge but no engine temp gauge?
Engine temp is on the other side of the cluster
@@Dmaxstore well then, let it be known. I was wrong once this year but its a stupid design🤣
Rebuild time🎉🎉 if i can rebuild a transmission at 16 years old then it can be done
I need to replace the lines on my 2001 Tahoe. I'm going through your website but not seeing them? I see 1500 Silverado but not sure if that's the same fitment?
They are not on our website because we only offer products for Duramax powered vehicles
Emissions 🤮
So does this prevent the failure of the fuel pump? How many miles did you have before doing this?
This will prevent the pump from grenading and sending metal filings throughout your entire fuel system, needing a $15k repair to replace everything. The CP3 pump is a more reliable and longer lasting pump that does not have this design flaw, the pump can still fail eventually but will not trash the entire fuel system like the original cp4 pump will.
How long on a install for a 2017 powerstroke
We are not sure as we only work on Duramax trucks but that would be an excellent question for FASS EGR Solutions themselves!
I was thinking about buying this but after this video….not so much now
Is your transmission shifting okay or slipping any? Also it might be a bad sensor but that’s definitely not good . Thats the number one reason why transmission go out is because of heat . If u don’t live in the northwestern areas I would definitely buy a transmission cooler and delete the transmission lines going into radiator
My transmission temp never gets over 131 . I installed a transmission cooler and my fluid last longer shifts great and has been for 8 years now
That's normal
Keep go n!
Posting on Marketplace after it cools down
😂😂😂
35,000. No low balls! I know what I got.....😂😂
Typical Chevy droop
What temp does this “filter” need to run at to clean itself??
600 degrees
where does the ambient air temperature sensor go? would be really nice if you mentioned that!
Same spot as the factory one. There is a hole on the bracket for that.
Just put one on my 8.1 Ally last week , towed today in Vegas 112 out , tranny never got over 190 , use to run 200+ I’d say a solid 20 degree drop easily
Been on my truck for about a year and a half now. Works great! Would recommend.
Of course the guy who got the suspension for free likes them. Experienced people whom have installed these on several types of trucks and vans would have given a broader viewpoint of benefit of adding these units. An explanation of how overall handling improved, if it did, would have been useful. You have obviously not won people over with this video. Try Harder next time.
So explain how it works? You haven't mentioned this once. Looks like bad leverage to me.
