have you ever had anyone run the later lbz coolers on the lly trucks with the aftermarket lines?

No we haven't. I wouldn't really recommend that due to the effectiveness of the 2001-2005 cooler. Being in the middle of the grill is the optimum location for these coolers.
What about the guys running on colder weather? Are they able to get to operating temp?

if you are running in cold weather, I would recommend a grill cover regardless of what transmission cooler you are running as you will want your engine coolant temp to be at operating temp as well. It depends on what temperatures you are driving in obviously.
