They could have designed the pipe to fit in from the top. Its a nightmare working on the firewall and sometimes the seal gets stuck inside the master
The hydraulic pullers are shit they just snap them
Its such a fun car to drive, it's a toy for me and that engine is for life, mine is now 24 years old, 500 000km and still runs like if it was new. No modifications done to the car, 182km/h max speed : )
On the magnet, use grease to make it sit and wont go loose in the gearbox 😅
Where did you connect up the pressurised canister to?
Can you tell me how I can learn more about this? My fuel pump bracket broke, fuel pump came loose so timing belt broke. I'm replacing the head but want to restore the old head myself and generally learn more about engines. I know so much about this 1.9 vivaro van in general, but not the internals of the engine. Seems like a specialist thing that you need experience with, not sure where to start
Definitely go any buy the Haynes manual. That's a good start with technical specs and how to's
@@boosthit811I've already got one. How difficult is it for a newbie to replace bent valves? I can't find a repair kit on ebay. Any ideas? Or any ideas where I can get a complete head from other than scrapyards?
@@erdemir5641 ultimately you know your skill level and have to decide. Problem is mistakes with head, valve timing can be expensive. Could look on ebay
@@boosthit811ok I've taken the head off and read up on what I can. Can you tell me which valve spring compressor you've got? As it looks bigger than the ones I'm looking at online and also the circular end fitting looks better. Others have got more like a claw. Thanks
@@boosthit811ah it's a Halfords spring compressor isn't it?
Why do i need to switch pin 1 to pin 2 ?
To run the new fuel pressure sensor
Do you think the 55PP02-02 MY A Will be ok too?
Getting ready to change my lower control arms now to address torque steer.
Thank you so much. I was about to set my van on fire. I’m also glad to see that I’m not the only one that couldn’t figure it out. I guess because the parts catalogue for the T5 VW shows the small o-ring and the cap/seal thingy both installed. Either way, I’ll give this a go. Thanks again and fingers crossed.
brilliant video mate! as a mechanic who has stripped and rebuilt many gearboxes, i didnt disagree with a single thing you said, which does not happen often on the internet! excellent
Thanks, I appreciate the comment. For reference this gearbox is still working well 5 years on. Even tho I don't do huge milage in my vxr when I do drive it I kick it's head in so to speak. 310hp with around 100 5000rmp launches! If doing this Box again I would make the bearing clearances slightly tighter. SLIGHTLY.

Will this make ur clutch fluid leke from the bottom of transmission 🤔
So we don't have to remove transmission for this?
My goodness thank you
After removing the old line installing new line withouth removing bell housing, using custom made tools. working 2 days to swap the line it still leaks, found out due to your video my coupler is missing the citroen part no 215615. Was already thinking about making a custom coupler with a T piece to bleed etc.will try this for sure!
haven't tried yet, how doesnt brake fluid not leak inbetween the top of the line and the rubber?
Is there a tool to remove the plastic fitting?
Not that I know of
I have a 1.9 Trafic butit does not have that blue plug. It's a 2006. Is there something else on my van that is the same ? Thanks.
Thank u so much..my car is fixed
Какое масло лучше для м32???Спасибо!!!
Hello, Can you please describe, how did you remove that bearing cap, as it is very tight and sealed in. Thanks!
If you're Struggling try using a slide hammer
Thank you
Just what I needed to know, nice one mate. One question, how did you get the elbow off ? I obviously lifted up the spring clip but feels like it's still not wanting to come off. Not expecting a reply, the video is 4 years old but you never know lol
Just working it back and forth and eventually it should come off
@@boosthit811 Nice one cheers, I have an insignia but it looks similar design right pita, the clutch master failed, eventually got that sorted and then the problem moved somewhere else, fluid leaking from underneath but you could bleed it temp and the clutch would come back so not the slave so I am guessing it's this little bugger, thanks again you're a star.
Wow! Thank you million for this mate
My immobiliser light never illuminates? Any idea why? Tomorrow I'm going to run through all the wiring and hope to find something obvious to repair.
Is there any risk of welding the injector to the head, or is that not possible due to metal differences?, what about warping the head? I have tried just about everything on the bottom part of injectors on my 2006 grand vitara. 2.0hdi RHZ engine. Ready to stuff the welder down there and make it glow red, i have more than the sleeve left though, the whole last 3-4cm. The middle part does not tap out by hitting or pressing from the inside.
It's a nightmare. There's always some risk. A die grinder with long reach can do it.....takes a couple of hours tho. Welding is more for when you are able to remove the full inside first with just the shell left
Why there is NO engine check light when you turn ignitation on?? Is that normal? I have 1.9dci 2006 and no check engine light when ignition is on... But when I do calibration engine check light is working. Thank you for your video 🎉
Sorry I'm not too sure about that
You legend! Thank you! I've spent 3 days trying to stop my golf hydraulics from leaking... removing the o ring and pushing the cap down has sorted it! 2 hours to fit a cylinder followed by 3 days of leaking fluid and swearing. You saved the day ❤
I’m in the exact same position now. I’m trying this tomorrow morning!

That aluminium inlet for intake manifold, is it bolt on or you need to modify it to fit, and from what car did you borrow it?
It's standard mainfold off the car. I just cut it in half to modify it
@@boosthit811 no no, i mean this inlet where comes the tube for intercooler, that isnt factory?

Thank you. I had the same problem. My slave cylinder is behind engine so I could not see proper only that it was leaking. 😅
How do you make sure the camshaft goes back in the right position after it's been out? Is there a tool to set it in place at all. Thanks
Hi. From memory there is a dot on the cam pully that lines up with the tin cover on side of engine. Also when fitting a new cam belt it has nice easy white marks to line everything up with
Bonjou ,est ce que je peux retrouver ce pièce. Pour un zusuki grand Vitara 2007¿?
Where can I buy that rubber seal?
It comes with the bearing kit
Can you send me the link where I can buy it? Thank you so much
Very well found sir😊
Thanks for the videos. I love the 2.0 HDi and it's nice to see a really good video on the topic of affordable tuning. What impressed me was that it did a 6.1 with a 3rd gear change, in 0-60 terms that "technically" wastes time. I know you started in 2nd, and the 3rd change was to 4th gear to get to 60, but a lot of petrol cars that could do the same time on paper would do it without a third gear change. I.e Donkey is faster in the real world but doesn't have the revs and ratios to prove it on paper. 😂 Like most diesels unfortunately!
Haha thanks for the comment. That car was a little weapon.
Will this work if EPROM code comes up? I’ve changed clocks BCM and transponder and still the code comes up had it reprogrammed but still same EPROM code any idea?

Turbosmart universal? 140mm or 150mm? Thx

What’s the better turbo smart actuator mate the 10 psi one or 14
Depending what boost pressure you are targeting. If targeting 20 max then 10psi actuator is perfect
Gearbox M32 gen1 ??
How long you use that MLS gasket ?
That engine was not mine. Also it was badly overheated
Lol was thinking this looks like my civic underneath as im trying to treat my rust, then noticed in the description it is a mk8 civic..boy do these rot at the rear as they are now getting on in years. Luckily my 06 isnt as bad so trying to stem the rot. Nice work.
It's now for some odd reason, become a non-starter, the 70A FUSE to the glow plug controller keeps blowing, is this the glow plug controller? Can I just fit a new one or is it coded?
common on these motors because of abuse yes , but not common for these engines :)
What did you use to write the new stage 3 map to ur ecu? what kind of obd ecu reader?
Just used an old laptop with adapter cable
Quick question please and if you can answer it you'd be a life saver. Do you remember which way around the main bearing end caps went? I'm stripping down my M9r engine which has spun a main bearing and im thinking that the previous regrind its had, they put the end caps on the wrong way! they currently have the letters and numbers reading from the timing end and upside down if looking from the gearbox end. Be great if you can recall. Thanks.
They don't have a "tang" do they? Small location notch. If no tang and no oil hole cut out then I would normally keep the numbers in the same direction. Top and bottom shells are different diameters? Can't remember off my head
@boosthit811 the bearings don't have tangs no. The big end shells are different sizes. Bigger for the upper half and smaller for the lower but it's the letters and numbers on the caps that can tell me which way it goes on. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly though mate. Cheers.
