    Any idea why the wipers don't know their default position that is at the bottom of the windshield anymore? The range is set correctly, but they just don't know where to stop swinging, so they eventually stop swinging in just some random position.

    Good video. Just a heads up, the SAAB Workshop Information System (WIS) also requires the use of Loctite 518 Flange Sealant on the inside of the new ABS ring prior to installation on the axle. Cheers.

    Holyshit, the little small center hole in between the two bolts on the mount, looks like yours is aligned when you took it off. From the missing bolt, and the other two that are loose on my mount, that alignment hole is so far off that you can't see through it!. And make no mistake, the factory left my bolt out. there isn't even a scratch where the bolt would go.... Oh, and you mentioned nothing about how you took off a 3 bolt mount, and replaced it with a 2 bolt mount.... Is that the difference between a stick shift mount in an automatic mount?

  • @zynaquinn686
    @zynaquinn686 Жыл бұрын

    And yeah that other guy is right, negative always comes off first, and when installing the battery terminals, negative terminal goes on last. Installation is opposite of removal.

    Hi. Thank you for the video. it helps a lot! Can you tell if the broken metal piece can be repaired ? In my case the key goes all way to the right (engine is starting) and seems the spring is not moving it back to ON position but I can move it to ON manually. I hope a new ignition lock fixes it.

    To reduce the amount of grinding, you could heat the reluctor ring (hot plate, torch) so it slides on easier. Thanks for the how-to - very informative, especially noting the hub nut is 32mm (not a socket in most shade tree mechanics tool boxes).

  • @user-xz3lr5cj8y

    Once the rust is fully cleaned off, yes. That would be the reason the old one cracked as the rust expanded the metal

  • @threejeeps4419
    @threejeeps4419 Жыл бұрын

    As a follow-up, pulling the hub off of the axle can be a real beast. Years of rust & corrosion makes removal *very* difficult unless you have an impact hammer. Just wanted to let you know what you may be facing.

    Do you happen to know if that switch is also on a manual drive of this same vehicle? Mine also stays in start and won't move to lock, but the lock cylinder works fine when I take it out of the car. But when it's in the car, it won't move. from start to lock.
