I love this alternate course, especially how you made Joshua the hero. He’s my favorite NPC in the entire franchise.

I stand my ground on the fact that the Enclave is an utterly evil and fucked-up faction. That being said in the context of the Fallout series, I don’t see how that should prevent the player from joining them. You can join the Institute and the Legion, so why shouldn’t you get the chance to also join some conflict on the Enclave’s side? It wouldn’t even have to be portrayed in any positive light, you could be shown how cruel and devastating you are as a figure in the Enclave like you would be playing as a legionnaire in NV. I never join either the Insitute nor the Legion, but I’m still glad they are playable factions. Especially when I watch videos on “I made every wrong/evil choice, so you don’t have to.”

11:22 i love how the ncr's main concern isn't the possibility of the legion taking down these knights in shining power armor and hijacking their suits but rather the sheer cost of their weapons being unloaded into the legionaries "It costs 400,000 dollars to fire this weapon... for twelve seconds." classic ncr greed smh

While a good to great story, I feel its far more likely that the Legion winning the First Battle of Hoover Dam, leads to Mr. House having the Securitrons and Families intervene to prop up the NCR, and tone down the sabotage of the NCR, since he doesn't want either side to win until he gets the chip, and a desperate NCR are now the perfect group to ensure he gets the chip.

For anyone wondering why Caesar was trying his best to get rid of Joshua, remember that even as the Malpais Legate, he was already a threat to his uncontested rule of the Legion. Caesar may be the brains, and it may be HIS Legion, but Joshua was the one putting in the work, fighting on the front with his legionaries and using his civilized upbringing to his advantage in warfare. Caesar was not a warrior, Joshua was. Caesar was merely putting on the front of the Son of Mars, he swears like a sailor if you tick him off enough, but Joshua is genuinely affable, stoic, calm, and measured. Joshua would inevitably become more popular than Caesar if he was left alive, and that simply would not do. Coupled with the fact that he's the only other person who knows that the Legion is built on a lie, a twisted, poisonous idea of the Old World's history, and the fact that he knows Caesar's less than impressive upbringing, well... Yeah, I'm more surprised Joshua lasted this long with hos many times Caesar tried to hold him under the bus. Also, I love how poetic the endings are, and even the events leading up to that. I get the idea that the legionaries left Joshua alone both out of fear for his power and respect for when he commanded them and their comrades in battle, so I can totally see him taking control of the Legion and reforming it to be the REAL civilization that Caesar was simply pretending it was. Thesis, antithesis, synthesis. Caesar's own idea works against him. The thesis is the brutality of the Malpais Legate, the antithesis is the Hanged Man, and the synthesis is what becomes of the Legion after he delivers his judgement on the dictator that used it to ravage the wasteland. Another thing, the mental image of the NCR stumbling upon a reformed Legion is hilarious. I'm just imagining every trooper grabbing their weapons only to reluctantly stand down after realizing that the legionaries are just spreading around gospels and helping settlers build around the area. Maybe their humiliating defeat in the Mojave finally taught their government a lesson and it found its way back to the original ideas the NCR was founded on. Maybe it finally stopped being an imperialist nation ripping itself apart by expanding too much. Hopefully.

Bethesda will just continue to awkwardly milk iconic images from original fallout games with no progression or any imagination, no doubt about that. The most recent Enclave appearance (in Fallout 4) looks like... a bunch of fanservice-dressed raiders who just rob caravans and sit on their asses being all evil and bad. That's the level of the current fallout writers when it comes to factions, evil and stupid are the only two types they can create.

Enclave is the best, fuck the rest! 😂 They’re also the only ones in lore who can produce brand new and develop upon suits of power armor. They’re also the only ones who can still produce gauss and plasma weaponry. In terms of progress, short of the vault exclusively for vault tec execs that may or may not exist and survive, they’re the best option.

The Enclave is really being wasted as a faction. We’re getting hints that there’s more to them with people like Autumn, but then they end up just being cartoon villains again and getting blown up while we get minimal interaction with them aside from killing all their guys. You can see that the community is finally starting to warm up to the Enclave again. If you brought up the possibility of a return a few years ago people would dismiss it because of they get blown up twice before. But now people are starting to want to see the Enclave. But more specifically, they want to see an Enclave we can play a part in. If they just make them cartoon villains to be slaughtered again, they’ll waste all that newfound warmth and permanently kill the faction.
