Watching this with medical knowledge be like: "Oh, cool, potentially a ruptured aorta, fractured ribs/collar bone, punctured lung, torn subclavian, herniated disc/s and broken ankle. With a side of whiplash, sprains and concussion. Might want to consider calling a helicopter about now." Lol! Seriously though, glad you're (mostly) ok!!

The risk / reward for this kind of stuff just isn't worth it and a waste of taxpayers money when the NHS is already on its knees. But fair play for having massive but crushed kahoonas

if I was to put in all that prep. work and risk my life in an attempt to gain some kind of "fame" I sure as hell would have documented it from all angles. To me this seemed like some kind of dumb and dumber type thing. The inrun, the ramp, the landing all looked so sketchy. You got lucky and probably did not gain respect from any real riders.

Finally someone isn’t crashing over a 5 ft bank and making a whole video about their “crash.” - NOT meaning im glad u got hurt, im not and i hope you heal well! I’m just glad to see an actual video of someone taking a pretty gnarly landing.

All the money in the world wouldn't get me to guinea pig a drop that big with that small of landing. I'm so happy you didn't get seriously injured. I built a maybe 10 foot drop with a nice big area to land but it was sandy and I tried to pack it down but I was still worried I was gonna sink in when I landed and it took me like two different days of going there to psych myself up to finally hit it and it was like a tenth of the size and sketchyness of this. I can't believe you still sent it, even if I went to all the effort of building that I'd still chicken out when I saw how tiny that landing looked from the cliff 😂

I've watched a million videos of this type of thing, Redbull Hardline videos etc, but this was the only time I audibly panicked when I saw those initial run-ups and the take off. That was completely terrifying man, glad you're OK. Also the fact you just resumed filming moments after that insane crash to talk about what just happened is.. bonkers. I would have probably just laid there for a few hours before calling in a helicopter, assuming I broke every bone and ruptured every organ lol Get well soon!

This is the best mountain biking video to demonstrate what not to attempt unless you are a professional or testing your limits with caution. The rider, Lewis, is a professional and he tested his abilities to the maximum. Testing one's limits is essential, but it's important to remember that Lewis is an experienced and excellent mountain biker. Despite careful planning, preparation, and the team's knowledge and experience, he still missed the landing on what seemed achievable but dangerous. If he hadn't been in such excellent form, he could have suffered far more serious injuries. Nothing but respect! When I raced bikes, I took risks and always pushed myself to my limits and the limits of the riders with me but seldom beyond. This was because I felt my form wasn't quite at its peak due to a previous crash or overexertion. During those times when I pushed beyond my limits, I was fully aware of all the risks involved. Yet, I found that I had underestimated my skills almost every time. You cannot truly test yourself unless you TEST yourself! Whenever possible, aim to ride with better riders, seek them out and learn from them! Never become complacent and never think that you have mastered a skill. There is always something new to learn.
