One thing I learnt riding chatel was the blue runs are like black in the UK, hanging on for dear life going down serpentine 😂

Great vid! The blue lines of Chatel are pretty much destroyed in this end of season, I'm not nearly as fast as you but that's reassuring to see that the pros also feel it in their hands haha

if you go back to Chatel, Black shore & air voltage are some of the most unique trails in the area, got to check them out. There is also some crazy gaps into the berms down the bottom of serpentine. they cut off the steep rooty track i always forget the name of and black shore but are defo worth the time it takes to find them.

Sick riding as ever mate. Being a barely intermediate standard rider there was no way I was hitting the big drop at 11:35, but I figured it would be fun to try and clear the chicken ramp on the smaller one next to it and land on the dirt... ... ...and sure enough the landing was fine, but then I nearly nutted the stem hitting the following compression at full pelt, suspension bottomed out, tyres squirming etc., never felt anything like it! Really got to keep your wits about you for sure. Not sure when I'll make it back to Morzine, we are doing Meribel next year, but when I do I'm hoping to tick the river gap off at least!

Black shore is awesome. You might well have done it, as it's the wooden features through the trees just after the big north shore drop you did at 11.30. I would love to be able to hit Air Voltage, but out-with my current confidence zone! You would be fine having done Hardline, and Air Voltage has loads of mad looking northshore drops etc.

Lewis. Have you been to La Fenasosa bike park? If not, you need to go, 90% built by Nico Vink, lines you would love. And to get there from the U.K. on last visit in January it cost me £150 more than a weekend in Bike Park Wales (including flights, hire car, full board accommodation, uplifts etc) I’m going again in 7 weeks and can’t wait!

Châtel and Pleney tracks are so destroyed right now that some blues are ranging from red to black 😂 I'm in Les Gets right now and each time I went to Châtel I came back high af because of the speed the tracks put you into. The most dangerous thing I noticed is the holes at the end of some fast steep berms, which is the part where you decompress to change direction and that can be mortal xd

@LewisBuchanan Atherton bikes are built to be used and can be built to fit you and are not like mass produced bikes. They look and feel sooo nice! I like the unpainted bare carbon and titanium look. They do a nice painted grey titanium as well or black painted titanium.

That blue with the step-up, looks like how the French catagorise their ski slopes! Let's build a run with red features on it, then call it a blue! I was on my board, going down a cruisey blue between off piste areas once, when all of a sudden it just dropped away at what looked like a 60+ degree angle - which I was fine with but not with the thought of a whole load upper beginners suddenly finding themselves on it!

@@LewisBuchanan if you watch a run by Jackson Goldstone he is very vocal when he hits a jump, wooo, whuuup etc etc, No one ever done that before he did, now every person I see uploading a run are doing it, I find it very strange and it makes my toes curl with cringe but it’s normally the same little rich white kids that use the very annoying phrase “yeah boy” at every opportunity. 😂😂😂 No harm in it I suppose, maybe I’m the weirdo for getting cringes over it 👍
