  Today is the day I prepare myself to go the funeral of the last patriarc of my family. The first man to ever take me fishing as a young buy. A man that treated me and my sisters like his own. My cousin Ray. Those days in the 70's we would spend at his house in the 70's. Picking vegetables out of his garden and him taking us to the country store in the back of his truck. I thank for him being a great man to mean. It's funny how I got in my car this morning and this song came on. Those beautiful days and people are gone now.

  When I was younger like my early 20's. I was extremely shy. And when this song came out, I had the biggest Crush on this young lady. And I remember this song came out in the summer. And I remember taking walks at night with this young lady with a starry night and a gentle breeze that was warm. It was a magical momentt that was so beautiful. And when this song played on the radio? I would have the biggest butterfly collection in my stomach thinking of her,. And unfortunately at that stage of my life I was unable to express my feelings to her., because I didn't know how? And this girl will always be, the one that got away... We live and learn right? So whenever I hear this song, I think of her...
