Always loved the Commodores. This song was one of my favorites. It has new meaning to me today. I am 68 years old, diabetic, trying to lose a little weight. And I LOVE walking. Every day for at least an hour. Outside. Not in a gym. Breathing the fresh air. On a trail. Or in an interesting neighborhood. Walking is SO GOOD for you. Being diabetic it helps me control my weight and blood sugar. Walking outdoors also does wonders for your mental health. So blessed to be able to walk. Love the bright sunshine. Love good music. Love being around positive people. So thankful to God for all these blessings. If you want to feel better, walk. If even for a few minutes a day. God bless you.

I cried when I heard this song today...took me back to being a little girl in the 70's growing up in Las Vegas with my mother, father and sister...not a care in the world! Now my father and sister are deceased and my mom is at a nursing home fighting to live...very sad but I will forever treasure my wonderful childhood and all the wonderful soul-stirring music of the 70's! The Commodores were so good:) EDIT: Thanks for all the kind words! It's now April 2020, my mom passed away last October so I'm truly on my own. Now we have this awful virus that's killing so many of our brothas & sistas. Trying to stay strong and praying for all of us to pull through this:)

I was riding with two sistas, on our way to a game against Western Kentucky University. Today is the day I prepare myself to go the funeral of the last patriarc of my family. The first man to ever take me fishing as a young buy. A man that treated me and my sisters like his own. My cousin Ray. Those days in the 70's we would spend at his house in the 70's. Picking vegetables out of his garden and him taking us to the country store in the back of his truck. I thank for him being a great man to mean. It's funny how I got in my car this morning and this song came on. Those beautiful days and people are gone now.

I took my nephew to a fair in MI in the mid nineties. I knew the Commodore would be there. The crowd was more than I expected. They played a catalog of music that I had forgotten. Èven though I had seen them several times as a youth, I gained a renewed respect for the Commodore that day. Lionel had been long gone into has solo career by then, so I must admit, I was not expecting much. But I received an awful lot. Good times.

Some of the finest horn arrangements...
This is what I'm talking about. Real music...wow it's been a while.
It’s amazing how music can mark a place in time in your life, and it can make you remember things that happened 40 years ago....with accuracy lol.. .....Even the way I was feeling at that time. This music sounds good still it brings a tear to my eye...

Such a beautiful song 🎶🎤 brings back fond memories growing up in the 70's. While shopping at old navy today this came on and I was like whooow!! Made my shopping experience even more pleasant LOL! They play alot of GOOD music in they're store. Every song that comes on I'm like heyyy okay now!! 😆
Me and my husband was singing this in the car. Made me think of being a kid in the 70's. Long car rides with my family. Visiting my cousins that were older they the had cool stuff. Mostly they had the coolest music!!!
One of my favorite songs by the Commodores. Still loving this song in 2018 💝💝💝
You can't beat the classic. Seventies soul feeds our mind and soul.
My best friend's uncle managed them. Too many great memories and I even forgot this one until today. Well I guess that I am getting old after all. Best summer job ever , I sold tee shirts, necklaces, and glow rings to crowds on a tour of the south. I'd like to say that I remember all the cities. But I don't ! Rip Benny Ashburn mgr for the Commodores
This is a favorite of my son. Back in 1970s he was a smile in the time
I cried when I heard this song today...took me back to being a little girl in the 70's growing up in Las Vegas with my mother, father and sister...not a care in the world!

Love so many of their songs, but this will always be my favorite. Can’t believe I’ve been listening to it since I was a kid off the album. I think this Lionel’s favorite, too.
My favorite song by the Commodores.
this song is incredible
Very soul touching song. How miss my Mom & Dad.
WOW WOW WOW. This is the first time that I have heard this song since my sophomore year at Eastern Kentucky University in 1977. I was riding with two sistas, on our way to a game against Western Kentucky University. I don't remember much about them only that one's name was Janet and the other joined Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. I started my journey to Alpha Phi Alpha that same year. My how the time does fly
I feel the same like everybody else. With this song come soooo many wonderful memories of times gone, but not forgotten. Thanks to the commodores for beautiful music that will always be there for generations to enjoy!!!

Beautiful! Music as it should be.
Such a beautiful song...
I was in junior high when this came out y'all know I'm pushing on some years right now. Nevertheless this is still the jam Commodores was something special I mean they had their slamming dance tunes don't get me wrong. But Zoom high on Sunshine just to be close to you. That's the classics!
I love this "song " it will make you cry at times I am free for ever
This Music means so much to so many..its the only real Time Machine there is....Monica hang on to and celebrate those memories every chance you get..theyre beautiful as you are!! Stay Gold My Sister.Sending Positive Energy Your Way..Love Is Love...
Good times.

This is a timeless jam. Lionel Ritchie really has some songs that are undeniably masterpieces. One of a few huge stars still alive.Stevie Wonder, Elton John are at the top then the tier down would be Ritchie, Billie Joel, Sting,McCartney, so and so forth
God this song brings back some great memories!

With the direction this country is going, I need songs like this to take me away from reality for a bit.
Man, they do some serious harmonizing on this song. The Commodores at their best could hang w/any group, including my fav, EWF, during the Lionel Richie era...😎
