Dude, you're 100% correct. You can't compare the sound quality from a Cambridge or Hi-Fi Rose with the Wiim, which is an inexpensive toy.

actually you are totally wrong on the apc ups. you can buy inexpensive replacement battery for much cheaper. i have revived a couple of them for much less than what they sell for.

Be aware of polarity when plugin DC connectors into early Japanese devices like the Sanyo, the polarity can be swapped! Shield is plus and the pin in the center is minus. Most of those devices are not protected against wrong polarity. Actually it sounded like an AC-AC adapter was used in the video instead of an AC-DC adapter. If you don't know the origin and history of a device, it is always a good idea to check the power specifications, voltage, ac, hz, dc, polarity before plug it in. But, where do you get such pile?

Despite very few devices working, the entertainment aspect of going through the pallet and finding the contents was well worth the $20.01. The costly part will be properly disposing of the bad and broken items legally.

If the CX81 mark II integrated amplifier was designed to be matched with the CX100 streamer/ DAC, why on earth put a DAC in the integrated amplifier when there is already one in the streamer? This current habit of including a DAC in an integrated amplifier is a waste of money and means, if I purchased the CX81 (which I won't for this very reason) I would be paying for a second DAC that I don't need. Why not spend the money wasted on the DAC on creating a better integrated amplifier, or simply reducing its price? It makes no sense. I will continue to use my CXN V2 streamer / DAC as a pre-amp, and upgrade to a better standalone power amplifier when I have the money. A second point is that I would never recommend upgrading to a mark II version of the same product. I would rather save and buy a product of twice the price of my current equipment to get a genuinely significant improvement in sound quality.

Great channel guys ! Question, I purchased a RN 2000 a week ago, great sounding amp. Paired with klipsch RF800 . Listening at a decent level, volume was at 3 oclock position. Was surprized Was expecting 12 oclock. My old Denon pma 2000r would be shaking the walls at half volume. Possibly an issue with the amp? Also whats your thoughts on burn in time for yamaha. Thank you.

I'm in Australia and could pre-order an Ultra for A$540. Eversolo DMP A6 is A$1,400 here. Given I already run a couple of WiiM Pros in a couple of systems in my house with great success (using external DACs) then the Ultra for a stereo used by the family, its ease of use functionality, likely to free up a mid priced DAC currently there to go someone else and also the coming room correction - it is a no brainer for me. Does the Eversolo do more, sure it does. Does it do three time more or three times better. Not for me. And the new Cambridge CXN 100 is lovely, but again it is so many more times the price I can't see the value. When one comes pre loved at 60% RRP though I'll probably grab one.

I find this marketing connection baffling. Lamborghini....fast exotic unaffordable to most ....Technics ....reliable and solid but not the highest level of audiophillia. I'm a Technics fan too. Funny video none the less. Price ok too. Thought Technics would really hit you for the gimmick lol.

The MK7 isn't regarded as highly as the MK2 - MK5, so if you want the "audiophile" version of a 1200 turntable - you have to purchase the G.
