Love my maple fretboard on my Strat, but love the novelty of the Brazilian Rosewood fretboard on my 1991 PRS from right before the Lacey Act was put in place in the early 90s for Brazilian Rosewood. Prefer the maple actually.

I have had a Peavey Rage an embarrassing long time. But practice makes for a better sound. You can’t use any excuse for poor discipline. The Amp is important. I would be happy with an AC30 and my pedals but is more secure locked up with the gig gear or in your house where anyone can walk by and hear you and assume (rightly) that you’re loaded with things that would pawn easily. I t is an age old question.

you gotta play the song right bro
@Bbbbad724Күн бұрын
The rosewood was a tad darker, but barely perceptible since the tone is in the pickups. And the amp can adjust, but the rosewood VS maple is the fretboard and can be slightly altered by the neck substrate wood and whether it has been quartersawn. The rosewood seems warmer.

As someone who has an expensive guitar and cheap amp….I would probably go with a cheap guitar and an expensive amp. The sound and feel of a tube amp is the way to go.
