Close encounters of the third kind had me going till he was shooting beyond the expected pistol range for safe firing. Toss some targets down range on them long shots let alone any shots and let them be known as possible friendly fire then maybe people might be more precise. I’m no crack shot but make these shooting quals more responsive to objects down range.

I think if you can “slap” your trigger without disturbing the sights, you can also “prep&press.” The opposite isn’t exactly true. Those that can only prep&press almost always have issues pulling straight through. Great video man!

Get the gun to return after the shot consistently first, then play with getting the gun "flat". Keeping your wrist locked in will also help.

oh man! Ive been going and started this year! Its so much fun and you learn a lot! Goin on July 7 and i try to go once a month now. You should start IDPA as i think USPSA is very complicated for a new shooter but some do it. I just prefer IDPA for now. Someday ill jump to USPSA though :)

Seems like the steel poppers caused some issues. Why do you think that was and what will you train to correct that?

Lack of respect for the proper sight picture needed and loosing of my grip to try to make a more accurate shot. I will most definitely be training poppers a ton.

Yep. So finding a specific spot on the steel to look at and making sure my dot is stable enough for the difficulty of the shot .
