What fun Christmas magic!! Love to see the family togetherness captured here. Merry belated!
Good video. Heartbreaking to see the 1999 blowdown damage.
Smallmouth Bass
What color is it ?
What did the boat ride cost?
I think it was $40
Excellent documentary! Raw, to the point, but emotional. Love it!
Excellent video. I am in the planning stage for a trip up there one day. This video was helpful thanks.
I’ve wanted to go there since I was a kid and hope to take my son there. I like the base camp idea especially while he’s younger. He just turned 10.
Thank you for making this video, it helped a lot. We are planning a trip up there this Labor Day weekend so this video helped.
I was looking at what videos come up before my series Boundary Break and you know what? Im ok with this
What month was this?

Here is our trip the following year kzread.info/dash/bejne/fX-nw5ahdbDep7w.html
Thanks for sharing. Cool BWCAW video!
Well done slide show guys. Beautiful country. Food looked good, but where's the Walleye shore dinner. If you continue your trips, think Kevlar, your back will thank you.
Mea Woodsman This year we plan to travel a bit more and cross more portages so Kevlar is definitely something we will use.
You will appreciate Kevlar! Just an FYI though...they shouldn't touch rocks so it's "wet foot Landings". And think about going deeper into the wilderness too.
The photo of the clouds catching the light of the setting sun is a keeper. You must have been at peace our there. I'm in Florida and wish we had places like that.
Amazing video and really helpful.... Im planning my first trip and it was really cool seeing thiss vid...quick question, What month was it?
We went up the first weekend in sept 2014 so labor day weekend.
Conor OKeefe Thanks! :D
+Conor OKeefe What were the highs/lows like? And bugs? Awesome video by the way.
+Lost On Land Again I had an amazing trip in late June but beware the mosquitos in the deep woods will eat you Alive! Make sure to bring 100 percent deet.
+Lost On Land Again Highs were the second to last day when the clouds finally broke and it was really nice out. We didnt experience much bugs and for that reason I think we will stick to going in September. Lows would probably just be the rain but there wasnt much lows, we had a great time.
Very nice
You did an excellent job! When you applied the stripper, what method did you use to remove the old stain? Did you use a deck brush? Also, did you use one or two coats of the Sikkens Log and Siding? Thank you for posting this video and thank you in advance for answering my questions!
We downstream injected stripper using our pressure washer and rinsed with low pressure after the chemical had some time to dwell on the surface. Two coats of log and siding was applied with 24hrs dry time between coats.
Where did you buy your downstream injector? Will a garden hose work for a low pressure rinse?
Garden hose wont work. If you were to buy a pressure washer from a big box store roughly 2500 p.s.i with the white tip would be about where you want to be for the rinse. It really all depends on the previous condition and how much stain you are trying to remove. Downstream injectors come with pressure washers and if not you should be able to pick up a 20:1 injector at home depot for around $10.00.
Conor OKeefe Conor, Thank you for all of this information! Do you remember the name of wood brightener that you used? Kind Regards, Daniel
If I were to use sodium hydroxide to clean with, What type of product would youi recommend for sealing/ neutralizing?
Use a penetrating oil base stain because it won't peal and it's easy to maintain.
What's the best sealer out there that would keep the water beading up for the longest time. I've seen bad reviews on just about every product. Not looking for a stain, just protection against hot sun and harsh winters. Thanks!
I've never had any luck removing paint from a deck using Sodium Hydroxide. From my experience, once you paint your deck you're married to it. Painted decks usually get a good cleaning and re-coating of a solid product. If you want to go stain then you'll have consider replacement.
Deck Refinishing in Minneapolis and St Paul
House painting in Minneapolis - This was a job we completed where the homeowner had previous been using a solid stain to protect his cedar siding. This time around he opted for a long oil primer and Emerald paint from Sherwin WIlliams. This paint job should last 7-10 years.
