    I’ve wanted to go there since I was a kid and hope to take my son there. I like the base camp idea especially while he’s younger. He just turned 10.

    Well done slide show guys. Beautiful country. Food looked good, but where's the Walleye shore dinner. If you continue your trips, think Kevlar, your back will thank you.

    You will appreciate Kevlar! Just an FYI though...they shouldn't touch rocks so it's "wet foot Landings". And think about going deeper into the wilderness too.

    +Lost On Land Again Highs were the second to last day when the clouds finally broke and it was really nice out. We didnt experience much bugs and for that reason I think we will stick to going in September. Lows would probably just be the rain but there wasnt much lows, we had a great time.

    You did an excellent job! When you applied the stripper, what method did you use to remove the old stain? Did you use a deck brush? Also, did you use one or two coats of the Sikkens Log and Siding? Thank you for posting this video and thank you in advance for answering my questions!

  • @ConorOKeefe99
    @ConorOKeefe9910 жыл бұрын

    We downstream injected stripper using our pressure washer and rinsed with low pressure after the chemical had some time to dwell on the surface. Two coats of log and siding was applied with 24hrs dry time between coats.

    Where did you buy your downstream injector? Will a garden hose work for a low pressure rinse?

  • @ConorOKeefe99
    @ConorOKeefe9910 жыл бұрын

    Garden hose wont work. If you were to buy a pressure washer from a big box store roughly 2500 p.s.i with the white tip would be about where you want to be for the rinse. It really all depends on the previous condition and how much stain you are trying to remove. Downstream injectors come with pressure washers and if not you should be able to pick up a 20:1 injector at home depot for around $10.00.

    If I were to use sodium hydroxide to clean with, What type of product would youi recommend for sealing/ neutralizing?

  • @ConorOKeefe99
    @ConorOKeefe9910 жыл бұрын

    Use a penetrating oil base stain because it won't peal and it's easy to maintain.

    What's the best sealer out there that would keep the water beading up for the longest time. I've seen bad reviews on just about every product. Not looking for a stain, just protection against hot sun and harsh winters. Thanks!

  • @ConorOKeefe99
    @ConorOKeefe9910 жыл бұрын

    I've never had any luck removing paint from a deck using Sodium Hydroxide. From my experience, once you paint your deck you're married to it. Painted decks usually get a good cleaning and re-coating of a solid product. If you want to go stain then you'll have consider replacement.

    House painting in Minneapolis - This was a job we completed where the homeowner had previous been using a solid stain to protect his cedar siding. This time around he opted for a long oil primer and Emerald paint from Sherwin WIlliams. This paint job should last 7-10 years.
