I've been carnivore for about 11 months. Over 110 lbs lost. Major changes in my overall health. For the last two months I also incorporated 3 day fasting every week. I will never go back to any fruit or vegetable. I'm 54 years young.

That's such an old story, nothing better to talk about?? What is wrong with lifestyle changing? Everyone has to experiment a bit of everything, otherwise how can we find our perfect journey??

I have clear skin but as soon as I start taking protein shakes regularly I start getting hard and painful pimples. they go away when I stop taking the protein shakes. I have no idea why that is. I don't have any other food that triggers breakouts like protein shakes do.

Most of the "human randomised control studies" are on men. Its women that struggle the most with weight loss, lets be real.

I'm doing research into this. I tested my fitbit's accuracy and it seemed to underestimate the calories I actually burned. I lost 2.67lbs the week I tested it. I know that it takes -3500 calories to burn 1lb of fat. So to estimate the actual number of calories I burned and to compare it to the calories that the fitbit said that I burned I multiplied 2.67 by 3500 which is 9345 calories. I added up all of the calories consumed and calories burned according to my fitbit and I subtracted the calories burned from the calories I ate and the number I was left with was around -7000. The estimated calories burned from the fitbit data was 2000 calories different than the expected number which was 9345. So It's not very accurate as said in the video. I'm a bit unsure how good my testing method was because I have no way to reliably know how much of the weight lost was actually fat or how much might have been water or whatever. I'm looking for a more reliable way to track calorie expenditure.

Dude just changed the word to malabsorption and acts like it changes anything. If 55 percent of people have stomach issues with eating dairy, then that’s half the population that should not consume dairy

Love your video and thank you for the information!!! I recently had Gluteal medius and minimus tendon repair two months ago at age 56/female and unfortunately, I've experienced upper quads atrophy on the operative side. However, my physical therapist just introduced me to BFR for rehab after being on crutches for 8weeks. It is hard and uncomfortable rehab protocol but I can already feel the difference post 2sessions- I'm feeling stronger post session!!! 💪🏻

6:18 Can you show me the DATA for men transitioning to women layne? Or is this only your feeling? Or worse. Like brainwashing. Or worse. Like pandering to the w0k3 hypercapital mafia of the west. If you are all about science and data, why do you get such simple facts wrong? And no. Gender studies don´t count

So what do have to say about this: “We found that mice can become obese without eating more, and that there is an underlying cellular mechanism to explain that weight gain […] This gene could enable us to identify at-risk individuals who should watch what kind of calories they eat and exercise more in order to keep their body weight under control.” Dr. Vann Bennett “We call it fault-free obesity,” says Dr. Bennett, who is also a professor of biochemistry at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC.

Metabolically flexible, healthy persons on a high fat diet will definitely have higher LDLs. When the body can easily convert fat for energy, that's a signal for metabolic health ! Why don't you understand that your LDL=CVD studies are based on a super-unhealthy population? LDL CANNOT be causative on its own if metabolically healthy people have high LDL and zero damage to arteries. Your straight line theory doesn't incorporate "differential diagnosis" logic, because it does not also rule OUT other comorbid causes.

Layne is being intentionally obtuse. He isn't even listening to the arguments presented he's too busy trying to disprove everything even if it's established information in the public zeitgeist. The more I hear from this guy the less I think he understands general health and only specifically comprehends the bodily needs of a body builder.

Your statement about sugar isnsompleatley wrong, if you eat the same ammount of sugar as the same ammount of fat, the sugar will metabolise much faster and cause a high blood glucoae spike, wich in long term will cause insuline resistance.

Dr. Layne, I want to express my appreciation for your incredible work in nutrition science! Your ability to debunk the countless 'charlatans' on KZread who make wild claims based on irrelevant studies is invaluable. It's refreshing to see someone who can cut through the noise and provide clear, evidence-based insights. I especially love your position on the concept that "a calorie is a calorie is a calorie," emphasising that people have the freedom to choose between a 400-calorie chocolate bar and a 400-calorie well-balanced, nutritious meal with protein, fibre, fats, and carbohydrates. Thank you for consistently providing us with honest and reliable information. Keep up the fantastic work!
