  I like watching these videos not just for seeing the engines but also seeing the joy and camaraderie of the people in the carriages having the time of their lives.It's more than just a train ride,it's an emotional experience which is what steam is all about.

  I grew up with steam trains. They were dirty, smelly, noisy, and slow. If Col. Sanders rode for 1 mile on a steam train, when he got off, he would look like Batman.

  There was no way the 5 was losing that race to the 7!! Fantastic. Even though it was load 2 v load 10. Thats why I enjoy being a main line steam registered driver. Pure perfection.

  It’s almost like a race between the train you are in hauled by Oliver Cromwell and this loco seen next to you 44932 with two support coaches behind it

  engines they should do railtours like this with: Flying Scotsman and Royal Scot Sir Nigel Gresley and Duchess of Sutherland Clan Line and Tornado a black 5 and Mayflower Bahamas and King Edward II

  I love how 44932’s driver pulls into the cab as 70013 starts to overtake him. I could imagine him saying “We can’t be having that now, can we?” in a thick Northern accent

  Fab piece of footage that I'll bet hadn't happened since the steam days back then, and is unlikely to be repeated soon! I'll reckon the 5 was doing a bit more than its max permitted speed at Church Fenton though lol.

  I can see, and see this exceptionally shot video over and over again. In fact even after watching it the number of times the steel wheels spin, there will still be a lot of excitement and involvement in being a part of this pure joy.
