I don’t have a problem with the idea of drafting players who need development. I absolutely have a problem with the Detroit Pistons drafting players who need development, when I can’t think of a single player in the past 20 years, they have successfully developed.

Ku, just want to add two thing from watching the SL. 1) Yes, the point play has been poor, but they aren’t getting much help. No screener Ari es until 11 or 12 seconds left on the shot clock and very little movement away from the ball. PG can’t beat his guy solo and draw defenders every time. Not an excuse for poor play, just an observation. They should give up on Sasser as point and see more what Jenkins can do. 2) while Klintman has been great in the SL, he is going to have to get better at finishing at the rim. Every drive is looking for the dish. In the big boy league guys will pick up on this quickly and not double and all those beautiful dump off passes suddenly become turnovers. I want to see him finish strong at the rim (not alone on a break away) a few times before the end of SL

The point you made about not having a point guard can also be used for Holland in the g League. The ignite didn't have a point either which forced Holland into a high usage role he shouldn't have been in. He is just 18. If Tobias couldn't shoot well for years then why are people giving up on him already? Absurd!

Huh. Not sure where you get this at all. Is it for telling the truth that the SL PG play has sucked? Is it for admitting the Pistons have sucked and still have a lot of work to do and our #5 pick this year isn’t going to walk on water and redeem the franchise. Ku brings passion and enthusiasm daily. Can’t see where you are getting this negative stuff unless you just want someone to lie and paint a rosy picture of how Detroit will be champs in 2025.

I have always liked Tobias and was really sad when we traded him. He looks like a really good person. In todays age we seem to be to attached to stats and percieved value, we seem to miss some more nuanced forms of greatness. Tobias looks like a really humble man, he's very professional, he knows who and what he is, he has appreciation for the team AND the city. I really can't see a downside to his signing.

Really happy to hear that Jarret Jack is returning - his engagement with the players seems highly desirable. The Walton hire is intriguing - I do think he's the closest thing we could get to an "offensive guru" given his resume(played under Phil with Kobe, coached with Kerr) - matter of fact... just realized he was a rookie on that 04 Lakers team and was essential in their only win, lol(7 pts, 8 ast, 2blk, 3/3 fg). Look at the circle of life 😂🤣 On the topic of summer league, my immediate thought about Holland is how eerily similar he is to Ausar in play style and effectiveness i.e. we are probably losing any games that they play significant minutes together this season. Some were complaining about the zone defense the 6ers played but in reality, the regular season would be no different. If im the opposing team and i see Ausar and Holland(for the love of God, please don't let Duren be out there too) - *instant 2-3 zone*. Klintman does pretty much everything you want a modern 4 to do. Jenkins looks good enough to have a guaranteed contract(like, give him the Bronny deal NOW) and yes, he should usurp Sasser at this point.

I think checking and not reporting on his second half performance and the team’s second half performance was a mistake. Teams make adjustments. Players settle down and games improve immensely by the second half. Sass picked up his play. Danis was on point. Bobi exploded.

Ron Holland ruptured a tendon in his right thumb and had season ending surgery in January. That means his first summer league game was his first really competitive basketball in nearly six months. Resting him after the first game makes sense in light of that. Also, considering his brand of basketball (reckless and aggressive), it makes sense to be careful with him in games that don’t matter as much. Summer league is a good platform to see if a player has a feel for the game and to assess what needs to be tweaked or fixed. I loved his aggressiveness on both ends. Bobi Klintman has a better feel for the game than any of the other players. He knows where to locate himself on the floor and he knows where and when to relocate. He makes the game easier for his teammates with his ability to move off ball and his ability to read the game and find open man. His touch is on point. His intelligence on defense is also impressive.
