We agree! We miss sailing ⛵️ Cheers for watching 🙂
¡Gracias!
So impressed by how far you have come. I honestly wondered why you sold your small boat for this huge project. Truly amazing ! Best of luck from Lyon!
Good question! We honestly needed more space. We lived on the last boat for three years. Cheers for watching 🙂
random interaction :)
Thank you. Hope you enjoyed 😉 Cheers for watching 🙂
Great progress guys wonderful videos
Thanks so much! Little by little... Cheers for watching 🙂

You two are so nice. I just wish you would hurry up and finish. I want to see you and your yacht in the water already!🙂
What's the rush?! Enjoy the process... 😂🤣😅 You're right! But, we are a while away from that. Atm, we just want to move back onto Seabird. It will happen. Cheers for watching 🙂
I love the way you work together! The weather has improved your spirits and the job is starting to come together. There is something about turning an old and broken thing into a beautiful ,useful and exciting thing with your own hands that can never be replicated by simply having the money to buy new. You and your boat will become one.
you guys went from greenhorns to boatbuilding professionals in the last 2 years...wow, the boatis looking awesome!
I was honestly thinking similar just the other day. We were so green!!! Crazy how quick you pick things up. Cheers for watching 🙂
Good progress guys! Arch looks good and the interior is starting to take shape! Noice! But do chuck some ear and eye protection on the wish list!
Great progress!
Thank you. Cheers for watching 🙂
Best home built solar arch I have ever seen. It's also the first one I have ever seen. 😊❤
Nice! Got to love back yard mechanics. Cheers for watching 🙂
I admire your courage and your tenacity. Good work and a great pleasure to follow you every week😀
Thank you very much! Cheers for watching 🙂
I love your cable threading system.
Thank you! Handy little tool 🔧 Cheers for watching 🙂
Bien....seguid asi....este viejo barco lo agradecera, proporcionandoles momentos inolvidables de disfrute
Hi Marina and Stuart, where can we find your wish list ?. You guys are amazing 😍
I hate mosquitos ,,, mosquitos love me ... am going to check out your little gadget thanks for sharing
Its great! Like a little cattle prod. Cheers for watching 🙂
Have you thought about changing your engine from shaft drive to sail drive. could you get the sail drive parts to mount up to your engine.? Maybe, some day. Cheers Mate
For me, that would be a big NO. It wouldn't fit due to the keel and I'm not a fan of saildrives. I did give it a thought when we were wondering about electric motors. I do like the simplicity of a saildrive, just not the huge gasket below the waterline. Cheers for watching 🙂
Maybe put a sealant of some sort between the flange that bolts to the boat and the Bimini mount . Need to keep the water out.
For sure! The arch will come off to get the engine in. Once that's done, we will sika the arch properly. Cheers for watching 🙂
Hope you are both having a great weekend. Stu and Marina, you guys have do so much and it really is looking so different inside and out. Its amazing the work you've done. I'm going to share your channel with anyone who may wanna watch it lol. Keep up the good work, come on 40k subs!
Thanks for the tip on that mosquito bite away thing.I got one yesterday, wow it really does work, never thought it would work quite this well, even with clothes rubbing on the bites, one zap and 24 hrs later and still no itch.
Those wires are painfully thin guys. Love the videos x
Hiya. For the solar panels? The wires are 6mm2, 10 awg. With a run of 4 meters. I hope I did the correct calculations? What size would you go for? Cheers for watching 🙂
Helpful suggestion, when you put sealer under the mounting plate use big washers under the nuts for strength..
Great tip! We always use "penny washers" The bigger the better. Cheers for watching 🙂
OMG guys, your enthusiasm for such a mammoth task is amazing. The fact that you have yet to employ a professional and are doing all the jobs yourselves is an inspiration. You're showing us all that is can be done if you really want it done. Well done guys, love you both 🥰🐦⛵ x x x
Yo! How's you? When are you heading back to the boat? It's a fun project... Soon, we can go back to working outside. It will never be as good as when it came out of the factory, but hopefully, it will sail. Only time will tell 😂🤣😅 Cheers for watching 🙂
You need to epoxy those backing plates for the arch so they become part of the deck, don't just dry fit with backing plates. That said I loved all of the "Just wiggle it about, okay your in, no, pull it out and wiggle it more!!!!!"
The arch, including plates, will be stuck in with sikaflex. We want to put the engine in first. It will come... Cheers for watching 🙂
Well done great video 😊😊
Thank you 🤗 Cheers for watching 🙂
Hello U2, regarding the history of the boat, on one of your episodes, I saw an old calander. There was a Pharmacy Advertisement from a city in Germany. If you want, I can make some research maybe I can find something out about the previous owner….. cheers Anthony
Hiya, you are OK. We are happy with the research we've done. No more information needed. Cheers for watching 🙂
Make sure you use Racor fittings to go into the body of your new Racor filter, these fitting are unique to the filter. Using other fittings though they seem to fit and work can cause air leaks that will drive you crazy!
Great advice. Many thanks. Cheers for watching 🙂
I thought it was a pregnancy test lol 😂
😂😅🤣 Luckily it's not. Cheers for watching 🙂
Thank you for the content , keep up the good work !
Thanks, will do! Cheers for watching 🙂
You guys are getting more skillful every episode. Really enjoy watching.
Thank you. Practice makes you a little less... 😂😅🤣 Cheers for watching 🙂
Hello, Stu are you planning on using the area under the sofas for storage? I didn't see any access openings for that. Just curious because on other rehab videos I see people making openings to "stick things" in every single bit of available space. Ok, later, ciao geo
Under the sofas will be water storage, accessed from above. In the bilge/floor, we might add one more hatch. We are trying to use all the space but not a fan of bilge storage. Maybe beers can go in the bilge. 🍺🤣⛵️😋 Cheers for watching 🙂
Just an FYI... I recently purchased 2 of those fuel water separators. One worked perfectly and one leaked like a screen door in a submarine. My advice is to test it before you actually need to use it! The vendor did replace mine at no charge. Good luck
Good to know! I'm sure we'll be doing a lot of testing before hitting the high seas. Cheers for watching 🙂
My husband and I are big fun of yours! We enjoy so much of your videos. We can’t wait to see you guys splash.
Yay! Thank you! We are glad you enjoy. Cheers for watching 🙂
Great video as always, good descriptions of what your doing 👍
'I cut it twice and it's still too short!'...
😅😂🤣 Love it! Cheers for watching 🙂
I've been following you two since you bought the boat, I've now started watching from video 1. What a great pair you are and the skills you are developing will stand you in good stead for ever. The dedication to the project and the quality of the finish sets you head and shoulders above many. Roll on next week!
We are glad you like the videos! Marina is getting really good at editing and our skills are improving. We were so green when we started, it's funny 😁 Cheers for watching 🙂
Awesome progression again! Your effort and passion shows! BUT, Please wear your PPE!!! Even when using a hammer and chisel! Shards fly somewhere, better place's than your eye! Keep up the great work guys!!! Luke
Thanks! Will do! Always got my safety sunnys. Cheers for watching 🙂
The interior is really starting to come together, but i have a question. Are you going to paint the hull back behind the setee? Since it is going to be a storage area, it would seem that a good coat of clean bilge paint would help keep everything that you stuff inside of the storage clean as well. I ask because it would likely be much easier before all of the framing is screwed into place. Keep up the great work!!!
Hiya, Under the sofas will go flexible water tanks, we do plan to paint that area. First, we need to tab in the floor boards. Then we can put the sofa frames on. It sounds like a long process, but there is a method. 😂🤣😅 Cheers for watching 🙂
You ar doing good go on greet from Holland.
Thank you for the vote of confidence. Step by step... Cheers for watching 🙂
Hi, when installing the solar panels, their orientation might matter when sailing: as you seem to have the main sail over the panels it will shade either one half of the panel surface or the other. If you install them parallel to midships you will mostly have at least one working. Another thought might go to the practicality of sailing without a having the mainsail in view.
We so wanted the panels in that formation. But they sit better this way. You could be right about sail coverage, but we'll only know once we are using them. Cheers for watching 🙂
Thanks!
going well, slowly but surely;)
Sometimes we think why so slowly. But, that's the process. Cheers for watching 🙂
Great job 😊
Thanks! 😊 Cheers for watching 🙂
Great progress with quality work all around!
Love the music...you should call it the "neverending boatwork. sheepyard blues". Budapeter
Looking really good
