I’m sorry, but this sucks these poor animals shouldn’t have this problem. My dog also has the same they’re saying, but they’re not sure the veterinarians you think they are trying to help but they don’t care if you don’t have enough money they will not take the animal you need to pay them firstbefore they even check your dog out so I don’t like them at all. They do not care. I know it’s a business but you could spend thousands and thousands but they really don’t care.
Yeah, you gotta do some research. I’m sorry to say but you have to. It’s not as costly as the vets are especially an oncologist. I will be taking my dog to an oncologist. They’ve been telling me for four months. They’re not sure they’re not not sure but I will find out for sure if so, I will do the best I can to keep my little guy buddy going cause I will kill me, if he leaves
Please don’t listen to all these doctors. They’ll have you going for so many test because my dog has a large prostate and they’re still not sure if my dog has cancer or not. Please try to get some products that you see on the net. They have the mushroom product that’s really good for them and if he’s got a kidney problem or urinary track infection or bladder trouble, they have pills for that that helps with the bladder and controls it, all these doctors I’m sorry but they are rip off

This vet is Magnificent 💝 I wish they were all like this. I have a very fine stable of some awesome vets. And I know to stay a million miles away from some others. KNOW YOUR COMMUNITY VETS! I'm on a very tight budget - I scrape up the money for vet checks while the fur babes are HEALTHY so i know who's good BEFORE an emergency. I always keep current with 2 to 3 vets so I have options of who to call. I sacrifice with a cheap used car, cheap used phone, sometimes no heat, sometimes little food, so I can do this. When I say I love my fur babies, it's not empty words. If you arent' current with at least one trusted vet that you know well, don't tell me you love your pets. I do rescue and foster also. Do your homework for your pets, they're worth it. My best vets ARE NOT the most expensive in town, because they're in it to help animals, not slick off as much money as they can get. I also OVERPAY my vets by $20 or more if I can afford it. I bring in pizza or fruit and pastry when I can. They're going to know me, I make sure of it. All my coworker lady friends go to high priced hair stylists, and make sure to tip. I haven't had a hair cut in 10 years. I TIP MY VET. My pets are more important than my hair, any day of the week. It's all about priorities.

I’m very scared cause i was going out with my dog english staffy 2 and a half year old and we live in a block so we have like a stair that has hole’s and today i were going out with her and tried letting her go down on her own and in the middle of the stairs She jumped back and stopped walking down and when we came in i saw blood inside when She had walked into the living room i thought She was on her period but She went dirrectly into her bed and it was blood there to and me and dad looked at her nail it was broken outwards and we don’t want to pay super much money to go to the vet but we don’t know if her toe is broken or not but i think it’s just her nail that’s broken but What should i do😭😭

I've been told by my regular vet and emergency that to find out exactly what it is we would have to go to the neurologist. The cost of an MRI alone is $5k-6k. No treatment included JUST the MRI.

Cat sitter here. I been a cat sitter for 3 decades. 90% of the cats I take care of have DRY fur with dandruff, rotten teeth, eat 100% dry food, their litter boxes are often FULL of feces and urine, and their pet owners don’t play with them resulting in diabetes, tooth decay/loss of teeth, poor quality of life. Pet owners often tell me: dry food is cheap, I don’t have time to play with my cat, my cat sleeps all of the time. I can go on but I’ll stop here. What you don’t realize is, cats playtime is typically 5 mins or so a couple times a day then they get tired, wet food contains moisture, and move the water bowl AWAY from the food bowl, or get a pet water fountain, cats loves it! Cats don’t like both water and food close to one another. If you implement these little simple goals then you will have a healthy and happy Kitty. 🫡
my strat cat are in vet as we speak now , i live in Indonesia, he have FUTD and its already costs me around 120$ so far 😭 it will add up for the next 2 days ... that is huge money for us here 😔😔... tbh im so confused where i will get the rest of money , my family ask me why on earth i wud go that far for a strat cat ? i cant close my eyes just like that when the cat is in pain in front of my eyes, i cant .... especially when u feed him and be with him 24/7😔😔

how do you know he is blocked? my cat urinates frequently he was given antibiotics then stopped eating he was dehydrated and not pooping he is on lax and meds to poop and he is pooping but also was given appetite stimulant he is 17 how do i know when it's time to put him down he does purr when i hold him but he seems to be sleeping most of the time and not engaging like usual
The system doesn't care if your pet dies, but cares so much who is taking care of them... If I sign a waiver it shouldn't matter who takes care of my pet but it's all about the money and they take advantage of our love for our pets .. sick

What is the incidence of this recurring after having a catheter and iv fluids. My daughter’s cat ( a rescue) is right now in the hospital w a catheter due to urinary obstruction. She is so devastated. She works part time and she said that she would pay for it. Obviously, I would have to take care of it first and I’m wondering what is the rate of recurrence. We cannot afford to continue to do this and I’m afraid that it will occur so I want to get her emotionally prepared if this happens again.

Why couldn’t they leave in the catheter? Yes, infection, but… I do humans so I can’t afford vets. But we would NEVER take a urinary catheter out of a human, if they rip it out then fine. Taking it out without emptying the bladder is giving a cat a horrific death sentence. Let the cat go home leaking pee whilst he takes antibiotics. It’s a risk of severe infection and death. I’m probably biased because my cat got rejected from emergency care today

Hello, I know this is old but do I need to massage the dogs ears if I’m cleaning out the drains? Or am I just ensuring that the holes of the drains in the pups ears are clear? My little guy just got this procedure done but he has like 3 small drains in his ear :(

My elderly mutt had a neurological head tilt that developed into pacing. His body was otherwise healthy, but I tried to get him bedded down one night and he couldn't lay down. Just kept following the walls. I couldn't leave him one more day like that. Now I'm cresting the hill with my rescue Pyrenees. She is pushing 14 years old and finally slowing down. We're taking it day by day. You'll know when it's time.
3 of mine let me know when it was time for me to let go of them. One refused to eat her evening Fig Newtons, so I had my vet come to my house to put her down the next day. I had a great vet that worked 2 blocks from me & had it prepaid since the vet office scared her. 2nd was a look of let me go I am in pain. 3rd was lost some weight & refused his pain & sleeping pill in peanut butter so the next morning had him put down with a look of thank you. Dogs hide their pain well so watch for small sign, put their needs before our sadness & be with them holding them at the end thinking of all the good times so they feel happy vibes. Then like me you go to your car & fall apart for awhile. Then honor your pet by remembering all of the good you all had together more than the sadness you will feel for a short while. God Bless.

Can the eye be removed and tgen removed whatever you can of the tumor, then give treatment? He is a gorgeous dog. Im praying for him 😢 the vets and the family. Spend every moment with this beautiful dog. He loves you immensely more than you know.
