I remember like it was yesterday. I was 13 years old in a Chemistry lesson 2-3pm (UK time). Got home just after 4pm and saw the footage from school it felt like the first massive event of my lifetime. I remember Princess Di, Waco, Colombia, Senna, Jamie Bulger, Columbine etc but this was overwhelming.

I was 5 in 2001. I live in the Chicago land area. I remember my dad said he was going to volunteer and would be gone for a few days. He was ex navy. I remember he came back still smelling like smoke. He said he saw body bags everywhere. It looked like a total war zone. I'm pretty sure my dads bad health today was apart of his journey trying to help out. I don't know what he did exactly to help. But I missed him. I remember since the first day that happened, all the years of rebuilding and theories surrounding it. And then seeing the memorial and new world trade center opening. So strange to see everything evolve before your eyes. To see books come out over the years about it. We were told the Sears Tower was the next target. I am truly touched by how many good souls helped out that day and months leading. Really changes your perspective on humanity.

kd has such incredible depth. As much as she loves Patsy Cline and the queens of country it was nothing unusual to see her catching the Art Ensemble of Chicago at the Edmonton Jazz Festival.

I guessed it was Anne Murray. I first saw kd lang in the cowgirl outfit at the NS exhibition in Halifax long before she became famous. Have followed her ever since, she is just wonderful, a very unique voice. Two national treasures there, Anne Murray Nova Scotia's own, first saw her on CBC in Halifax, I think it was Don Messer's Jubilee, before she was famous.

I was working at Glen Cove, NY, on Long Island when this happened. From the job site, you could see the trail of smoke miles away. We immediately shut down the site and began preparations to be ready on call. We were told that Friday, that we were going down to start cleaning up the streets all around the Wall Street district area(s). Saturday morning we were downtown Manhattan receiving orders on cleaning the streets. Ee were told that we needed to clean the streets as fast as possible in order for Wall Street to walk to work in their wingtip shoes. We were told that we would not be allowed to wear/use our PPE RESPIRATORS, for fear of “public fear”. I worked 36 plus hours from early Saturday morning til late Sunday evening. I made some trips under the disaster to retrieve hazardous materials. NYC/Manhattan/Wall Street/OSHA/EPA….all put our health at risk. I am certified with upper respiratory breathing issues directly related to my hours there. I have over 330 plus hours working there.

Yet some of these same homophobic Africa are desperate to get to Western countries that support LGBT rights. I think it should be investigated before anyone is offered residency in the EU if you harbored or caused harm to any LGBT person throughout your life. If they have, deport.

25:07 the south end of the Marriott didn't survive because it was "reinforced after the 1993 bombing", it survived because it was the end of the hotel that was furthest away from both collapses. At 25:07 you can see the falling debris from the south tower shower the middle of the hotel, but not the south end. The only thing that was reinforced after 1993 was the basement.

  • @reignman30

The photos taken at 12:58 and 13:10 were not taken by the same person. The first photo is of the south tower from the south side, and from a low angle. The 2nd photo is of the north tower from the north side, and from a high angle, like from a tall building. So unless Christina's daughter can fly.
