I have been using this system for quite a while now. I stumbled on it while using the center to edge aiming. However, I have been aiming towards the edge of the ball instead of the contact point. My results have been varied. Aiming instead at the contact point might just seal the deal. Thank you for the tip. (pun intended) I also want to say your line graphics from your stick are FANTASTIC. Keep up the good work.

A good Break Cue is Important, no doubt about that. But, no Pool Cue, ever taught anyone how to play Pool. You have to learn how, so a good Pool Cue will be a Plus, not a Minus. Put that in your Pipe & Smoke it. Now that you have the truth, the next thing is what to do. I'd suggest studying the Break Shot, so you 'll understand, what does what.! What a Concept.! Well, that's what the Pros do... Here's what we know, , a good Break Shot will get you closer to the Winner's Circle, than a Bad Break Shot will.. That's a given. Good Luck to all...

Oh dear, that IS indeed voodoo. Some over-engineering, here (not your fault) with all these 'aiming systems'. Just practice and train your angle recognition, helps a lot more in the long run.

Great! I've never seen this and I'm gonna practice this technique. Most of my missed shots are cut shots. I also found out that if I shoot the ball SLOW for a cut shot, it will almost ALWAYS miss because the cue is not hitting and then clearing the object ball. Rather, it hits and drags on the object ball, effecting the LINE it SHOULD go in on. Thanks for the tip!

Is it a finction of how hard, or is what really matter is whether the cue ball is spinning or sliding when it his the object ball.. This is have you need to explain. That you are hitting it hard b/c it is a "stop shot" or sliding upin impact. What not say this ionstead of saing "hard" or "soft"?

Very helpful video, but can we discuss WHY it works? Most of us learned early on that, on a cut shot, you can't aim the middle of the CB at the contact point, because the curvature of the balls causes too thick of a hit, so you'll undercut the shot. So my understanding of this shaft aiming system is that using the edge of the shaft to adjust your aim compensates for the roundness of the balls, eliminating the built-in undercut. Does that sound right, or am I completely messing this up? Thanks.

I wonder if training your stroke for muscle memory buy looking at the cue ball may have an adverse effect of training your muscle memory to look at the cue ball instead of the object ball when you release your stroke. Thoughts?

You have a habit of slapping the chalk down on the table after chalking up in many videos. This sends chalk dust into the air and eventually it ends up on the table. I see many players do this as an unconscious show of strength or determination. It is a sign of lack of focus. For a little time, you are taking your focus off the shot and onto making a statement with the chalk, even if the statement is to yourself. Like in tennis when you see players tense up and momentarily lose focus. Changing focus is not good, and when you form a habit of distracting your own focus you are working against yourself. Your videos have lots of great tips.

Sweet glove and carbon shaft. I’m sure you’re an APA killer..and I do appreciate what you are trying to convey. But.. your stroke hand and arm are way to close to your body in relation to your back elbow. My guess is you used to have the Keith McCready chicken wing and are over compensating. According to your puppet analogy, your back arm should be hanging straight down and not touching your side. It is not. Lose the glove, the Mosconi Cup replica jersey, however many wackadoo synthetic shafts you have..spend 2k on a WOOD custom cue with a WOOD shaft. Oh yeah, it’s super clever that you have actually managed to weave some sexual innuendo and pool into your channel name. Man..that is awesome!

I've noticed that this shot completely changes when it is a slight back cut. Like when both balls are near the rail but the cue wall is closer to the rail than the object ball. I can't seem to make this shot at pocket speed when it's in this situation, and have to shoot it fast I should probably mention this is the case when you are facing A cue ball and rail that is on the side of your handedness. So this is when the cue ball and rail are on the right side and the object wall is slightly leftward of that if you are right-handed

This wasn't working for me as I would accidentally raise the tip to do a stop shot.
