@@RegenAutomotive There is a need for transmission builders. Just from what you have shown, a transmission shop would hire and train you. By the way, trying to reuse that original forward sprag would have been a mistake. Going with the hardened Borg Warner sprag was best.

@RegenAutomotive I watched all 3 4L60e videos. Would you do anything differently if you did it again? I have a 05 4x4 Yukon 5.3L. 233,000 miles. Looking to get a used cheap broken 4L60/65/70 to rebuild with my teen as a DIY learning project. To have ready. I found a used one for $60, with nothing but Reverse working. Thanks!

@thesetruths1404 It sounds like you are doing yours on a budget, which is also the route I took. So far, I wouldn't have done anything differently. It's been about 3k km, and it's still holding up well. I just did a weekend of camping/ off-roading, and it took the abuse well.

It was a good video for watching after viewing more detailed ones. I'm about to rebuild mine with 225k on it. It works fine, but I want to know I can travel coast2coast. Upgrades for towing are on my list of parts. Fortunately, I bought my 07 TBlazer for less than 3k from original owner, that happenedto own the local Chevy dealership... so spending 5k to totally refresh all parts ignored is ok. I was surprised you did not use some type of band clamp to perfectly mate the pump halves. Now to search for your follow up vid

i replace mine , i remove the dash at first but i found out if you cut off the aluminum hose 3 inch after the bend you can slide out the heater core and use rubber heater hose to attach when installing a new heater core since the motor side is metal hose . i also realized the fitting of the heater core is pinch pressed and get work out over time then leak

Hi I also have a 2012 Kia Sedona minivan I got mine with 116,000km now it has 149,540km I am the second owner I keep my oil changed every 6000km or once a year. Are these rode bearings a common issue on these 3.5 V6 engines? My issues were door lock actuator motors are junk other then that I haven't had any issues

  • @RegenAutomotive

Unfortunately, most Kias/Hyundais have rod bearing issues. The best thing you can do is keep up on your oil changes and monitor for metal in the oil.
