Wonderful! The Catholic Church is described in Revelation 17. Notice how they lied continuously in the investigation!! Not forgetting that Hitler was a Catholic himself. I am sure there are many genuine Catholics, but the RCC is NOT Biblical Christianity. How anyone can murder Jews and profess to represent 'christianity' is beyond me! Touvier's punishment for eternity will be far worse than anything that happens in this life. I hope he repents before he dies

Has the hunt for WW2 Nazis pretty much ended at this point? Assuming one became an ardent Nazi at age 18 in 1942 (the last year anyone could join and have a chance to commit enough crimes to get noticed), such a person would be 100 today.

Simon Weisenthal was first arrested in 1940 by the Soviet NKVD in Lviv it was to do with the 27 Polish professors he would have been the 28th . When the Soviets interrogated him and later found out that he was Jewish and not Polish they let him go . This was the first experience of working for the NKVD . When the Germans invaded Ukraine in 1941 he was helped by a Ukrainian police named Bodnar to escape so he was hiding until 1942 and was put in the Lviv Ghetto and by luck ended working as a sign writer and painting German trains for two years. The shelf live of a inmate in the Ghetto was six months later on Simon Weisenthal was working for the Gestapo because he knew the upper class Jews were living that what saved him time . The Germans left Lviv in 1944 and the Ghetto was emptied and of course Simon traveled with high ranking Nazi Generals by lorry outside a real death camp in Austria. Simon Weisenthal was never tattooed even in that camp . When he was liberated by Americans in 1945 he offered his services as a witness at the Nuremberg trials and on one occasion Simon recognized the Soviet NKVD General who arrested him in 1940 in Lviv once the American got to know this strange story he was pulled out of the court and was again cross examined and later on Americans dropped him for further questioning as a witness.

What bothers me most is the role of the Roman catholic church. To mention some of their "achievements" through the ages : initiating the crusades, raising the inquisition and more recent : helping nazis and abusing children. I'm not a bible expert but I'm quite sure this is not what Jesus meant. Perhaps it's time to take action against the RC church, other organisations have been marked as criminal for much lesser charges.

I was a catholic and It just makes me sick that the Catholic Church could let the Nazi kill the Jew so many families have disappeared. I will never go back to that church again. The priest say we have to go to confession for our sins. The Roman Catholics murder so many Jews in Israel after Jesus was killed

Has anyone seen a film called ‘The Statement’? It stars Michael Caine as an elderly man, a former member of the Millice, who is hidden away and protected by an extremist sect within the Catholic Church. This is, in my opinion, far and away his best performance. The story is evidently based on the life of Touvier. Don’t miss it.

i hope you report that the Catholic church also hid Jewish people and helped them to flee the Nazis, and included that the churches were supposed to be 'no judgement and no politics zones'. that was back in the day when churches (of all faiths) were considered to be sacred spaces and it was a line that wasn't crossed.
Christians have a history of persecuting jews and other religions and some how world white wash these crimes
