I think this is stupid. Pawns should at least have more than 1 specialization at once. After 80 hours you get sick of the repetitive dialogue. So the specialization aphonite was a godsent. But now i can't have her be a forager or anything else without getting rid of her aphonite specialization, which is basically something that allows her to never speak unless spoken to. How is this even a specialization? It should be something you should simply be able to command them to do. So either my pawn shuts the f**k up, or knows a whole Elven language? C'mon.... And why can't we the player simply learn it ourselves? We can learn all manner of complex spells and skills, but not 1 damn language? And i don't understand why we can't actually search for pawns with particular specialization. I would like other pawns with the aphonite specialization.

Both games just look like they don’t take advantage of the true ps5 hardware power from what i heard which is disappointing and one reason why some hate this gen of gaming but both games look good, ronin looks slightly more fun to me

No wonder I've not found any other specializations besides Chirurgeon. I'm going to try all of the shopkeeper npc's in different locations n see if that gets me any others

Better way what i found was to give 2 flowers to one of the female archers just outside of the inn. Wasted 10+ flowers on the innkeeper and got nothing.

Bullshit. I have done the same and still i got nothing. Use over 20 flowers and been sleeping and used so much gold and becurse its a sleep in i cant go back to get gold back by reset. Just find one to translate if you need something there. Learn it is to much in this stupid game

nope. didnt work for me at all. gave her 3 bunches, slept between, did nothing to negatively impact affinity. it's extra infuriating because no flowers seem to be spawning anywhere for me

Okay there's a couple of problems I'm seeing in this video and it's crazy lol 1- That's not the true ending 2- The dragon asking you for a ride isn't out of character, The Dragon always has been a noble creature, Only fights you when you are ready, In DD1, Grigori could snap you in half multiple times, But he doesn't until you are ready to fight him, the equivalent of Git gud. The battle between Arisen and the Dragon is always whenever the Arisen is ready to fight, so the dragon asking you to get on his back to take you to a proper battlefield isn't that much out of character. 3- the reason why the flight takes time is because of lore dumping, while dragon explains the reason of this whole fight. It's also long for you to trigger the true ending, since SPOILER ALERT: you trigger it while you're on his back flying 4- when The dragon goes in the air during the fight, you're supposed to use the ballistas, multiple ones are scattered around the battlefield, but you would've guessed if you didn't play the waiting game didn't ya? Also, you can trigger the real ending if you talk to the Pathfinder after you defeat the dragon, that is if you don't trigger it in the first fight before defeating him. I understand the fight might have bored you, I do not dispute that, and I do agree that the game needs a huge difficulty spike. But again, you have not experienced the real Ending yet.

1. I’ve seen all endings and yes i know. This ending however, (based on multiple polls) is the ending most people get. So that means most people will be able to relate to this ending. 2. It might not neccesarily be out of character, but it’s presented in a poor and lazy way. In dd1 you had the thrill of running for your life with the dragon chasing you. Even if it wasn’t hard, the acript and visuals were done in such a way you’d remember for years because of it’s presentation. They could’ve easily made a better, more thrilling and believable scenario of the arisen riding the dragon. 3. I understand the whole flight scene is for lore dumping and explanations. But just like my answer to your second statement, it could’ve been presented differently. Throughout dd1’s final battle (even tho it wasn’t hard) i felt myself in a rush of adrenaline. The slow more “dramatic” way they handled it in dd2 makes it feel slow and not like a final battle. This type of lore dumping with a slow conversation and b-roll scene, should be done about 75% into a story not at the actual end. 4. I know i’m supposed to use ballistas but i (and many others) won’t use em because it’s even more boring tbh. Using a ballista or any heavy damage tool in any rpg game doesn’t give me any satisfaction. The game is about becoming stronger so you’ll be able to match the dragon’s might (as mentioned by yourself) why all that training if you’re gonna use ballistas for 50% of the final battle 💀 once again another example of lazy writing. I love this game, there’s better endings than the one ik this video. But like it or not, this is the way **most** people will experience the ending. Is it their own fault for not exploring enough options to get a better ending or experience? Possibly. It could also (which i believe is the case) be an example of lazy writing. The devs know damn well most people will experience the final battle like this. Knowing that, they should have made a more exciting ending to this path.

@@DosukaGaming understandable points. to summarize, this game for players playing it for the first is good, for DD1 vets the game is dissapointing. or at least imo, this game seems to have good things, but all good things are missing if that makes sense. As a Vet of DD1, including Dark Arisen, after thousands of hours spent on the first game and mostly on the DLC, If I had my say on how it should have been would be: 1- a huge difficulty spike, I have no idea why they toned down the game so much compared to the first, It feels like they did it only for new players, so much so that I'm starting to feel like this decision was based on how gaming in general is lately: an easy experience. Back when DD1 was out, the game was hard a bit, the dlc was ruthless. in this one by the time you reach level 25 you're already good enough to deal with the game at ease 2- New game plus should have had a huge difficulty spike than how the base game really should have had, more huge monster variations that are harder too. I think they didn't bother with it because A- either Laziness or B- they didn't wanna bother with it 2- enemy variation, Rewards, armor and weapons are extremely lackluster, by the time you're into half the game, you've already experienced almost everything when it comes to bosses and you're strong enough to do evrrything with current equipement 3- More open world events, The Griffin coming out of nowhere is nice, but it could have been so much better if A stronger version of the griffin came out with it, Hell, Make them charge at you out of nowhere while you're already fighting a drake, or anything really, anything to make the difficulty absolutely ruthless for the player I'm all for it. 4- more negative status effects from enemies and from the players. they took off too many, so much so That I barely got any throughout my playthrough. 5- the game should have had a proper endgame, the real true ending is really bad compared to BBI, hell even the Everfall wich was absolutely badly recieved by players was technically still better than that even tho it was simple, it feels like they have learned absolutely nothing from what made the first game good 6- now I know BBI was a dlc, and some could make the excuse that "Hey, BBI was out a year later as a dlc, means probably we'll have something like that in the dlc of DD2" okay? How's that any excuse? They had years to learn and understand hat BBI is what made the players have countless of hours in the first one, not including something like that in the base game is absolutely crazy, specially that the whole game was never that inclined to have a good story, the combat and difficulty is the most important. it's what made the first one good. If they are keeping an endgame for a dlc, I genuinly find that shameful. If we did get a proper endgame now, the dlc might have had a whole new idea.. Overall, absolutely disappointed with this game, after 107 hours It left a teally bad taste in my mouth, so much so that I'm avtually playing dd1 now because at least there, I have something to do over and over💀

Hey guys - really, really important - Kough is not the right NPC, at least on PS5 or for me. It's Grisha, the vendor on the other side of the area. I spent hours and hours and hours giving Kough flowers every day, looking all over the map for more flowers and waiting for my picks to respawn after 7 days, and it turns out that it wasn't meant for Kough (the innkeeper). If anyone is struggling with this, I suggest offering the flowers to Grisha, 3 days in a row. That worked for me. Still great advice though! Makes my pawn way more popular ❤

You must be on Xbox. To start conversations on PS5 is circle button by default. I personally won't choose this option because I have a female arisen and don't want her affinity for me heightened. Good tip tho.

I used the Tomb but my pawn still doesn't translate ? I've tried giving more flowers to get another tomb (from the same women) and no joy! :(

That seems like a bug. Using the tome should automatically teach your pawn the language. I’m afraid i wouldn’t know how to fix that 😅

I got the woodlands specialization on my pawn early then at some point she learnt a new specialization and it replaced woodlands specialization. Now she can't translate elvish at all. This is not a bug, there's just no way to change pawn specializations at the moment.

I did the following, 1 flower then rest, 1 flower then rest, 1 flower then rest, then when I talked to her, she gave me the scroll. I think this is either a user error or you may have negatively affected the affection. Could also be a bug lol

Yep, anything that will increase the affection of an NPC works. However, i chose to show flowers as they’re obtained the easiest throughout the map.

It should work with anything that has an increase on affection when given to npc's. However, flowers are the safest as they're free to farm everywhere on the map

You better be careful using the same pawns because if you get one that everyone uses chances are itll get dragon plague eventually and then your fucked, if you dont know what dragon plague is look it up, its the dumbest mechanic in the game imo

@BegitoBuru it really doesn't matter. Plague is rare and the signs are obvious before it gets dangerous. If pawn has glowing red eyes, just don't recruit it, if you haven't gotten a pop-up, you've never recruited one until then, and for those after, if it gets sassy, throw yours pawns in to water. Easy

The game is about becoming stronger so you’ll be able to match the dragon’s might (as mentioned by yourself) why all that training if you’re gonna use ballistas for 50% of the final battle 💀 once again another example of lazy writing. I love this game, there’s better endings than the one ik this video. But like it or not, this is the way **most** people will experience the ending. Is it their own fault for not exploring enough options to get a better ending or experience? Possibly. It could also (which i believe is the case) be an example of lazy writing. The devs know damn well most people will experience the final battle like this. Knowing that, they should have made a more exciting ending to this path.
@@DosukaGaming understandable points. to summarize, this game for players playing it for the first is good, for DD1 vets the game is dissapointing. or at least imo, this game seems to have good things, but all good things are missing if that makes sense. As a Vet of DD1, including Dark Arisen, after thousands of hours spent on the first game and mostly on the DLC, If I had my say on how it should have been would be: 1- a huge difficulty spike, I have no idea why they toned down the game so much compared to the first, It feels like they did it only for new players, so much so that I'm starting to feel like this decision was based on how gaming in general is lately: an easy experience. Back when DD1 was out, the game was hard a bit, the dlc was ruthless. in this one by the time you reach level 25 you're already good enough to deal with the game at ease 2- New game plus should have had a huge difficulty spike than how the base game really should have had, more huge monster variations that are harder too. I think they didn't bother with it because A- either Laziness or B- they didn't wanna bother with it 2- enemy variation, Rewards, armor and weapons are extremely lackluster, by the time you're into half the game, you've already experienced almost everything when it comes to bosses and you're strong enough to do evrrything with current equipement 3- More open world events, The Griffin coming out of nowhere is nice, but it could have been so much better if A stronger version of the griffin came out with it, Hell, Make them charge at you out of nowhere while you're already fighting a drake, or anything really, anything to make the difficulty absolutely ruthless for the player I'm all for it. 4- more negative status effects from enemies and from the players. they took off too many, so much so That I barely got any throughout my playthrough. 5- the game should have had a proper endgame, the real true ending is really bad compared to BBI, hell even the Everfall wich was absolutely badly recieved by players was technically still better than that even tho it was simple, it feels like they have learned absolutely nothing from what made the first game good 6- now I know BBI was a dlc, and some could make the excuse that "Hey, BBI was out a year later as a dlc, means probably we'll have something like that in the dlc of DD2" okay? How's that any excuse? They had years to learn and understand hat BBI is what made the players have countless of hours in the first one, not including something like that in the base game is absolutely crazy, specially that the whole game was never that inclined to have a good story, the combat and difficulty is the most important. it's what made the first one good. If they are keeping an endgame for a dlc, I genuinly find that shameful. If we did get a proper endgame now, the dlc might have had a whole new idea.. Overall, absolutely disappointed with this game, after 107 hours It left a teally bad taste in my mouth, so much so that I'm avtually playing dd1 now because at least there, I have something to do over and over💀

Hey guys - really, really important - Kough is not the right NPC, at least on PS5 or for me. It's Grisha, the vendor on the other side of the area. I spent hours and hours and hours giving Kough flowers every day, looking all over the map for more flowers and waiting for my picks to respawn after 7 days, and it turns out that it wasn't meant for Kough (the innkeeper). If anyone is struggling with this, I suggest offering the flowers to Grisha, 3 days in a row. That worked for me. Still great advice though! Makes my pawn way more popular ❤

You must be on Xbox. To start conversations on PS5 is circle button by default. I personally won't choose this option because I have a female arisen and don't want her affinity for me heightened. Good tip tho.
I’m on ps5. Circle initiates the conversation, but square is the option to give a gift

I used the Tomb but my pawn still doesn't translate ? I've tried giving more flowers to get another tomb (from the same women) and no joy! :(
That seems like a bug. Using the tome should automatically teach your pawn the language. I’m afraid i wouldn’t know how to fix that 😅
I got the woodlands specialization on my pawn early then at some point she learnt a new specialization and it replaced woodlands specialization. Now she can't translate elvish at all. This is not a bug, there's just no way to change pawn specializations at the moment.
@@aawsome69 If you want your pawn to speak elvish again then gift another elf 3 bunches of flowers , they will give you another tomb. You can do this more than once.

Is it bugged? I gave her like 3 jasper and 10 bunches of flowers. Spent like 20k sleeping. Even got the PlayStation trophy first maxing out a persons affinity

Yea I did it and it worked for me, my elvish pawn is now a proper elvin now.
it's the female merchant who gives you the tome and you can just sit on the bench next to her and rest to pass the time.
I did the following, 1 flower then rest, 1 flower then rest, 1 flower then rest, then when I talked to her, she gave me the scroll. I think this is either a user error or you may have negatively affected the affection. Could also be a bug lol

Yep, anything that will increase the affection of an NPC works. However, i chose to show flowers as they’re obtained the easiest throughout the map.

It should work with anything that has an increase on affection when given to npc's. However, flowers are the safest as they're free to farm everywhere on the map

@@toddmailen3674 i honestly keep all my jaspers and onyx stones in my storage for if i come across something i need them for specifically. For anything affection related i use flowers.

You better be careful using the same pawns because if you get one that everyone uses chances are itll get dragon plague eventually and then your fucked, if you dont know what dragon plague is look it up, its the dumbest mechanic in the game imo
@BegitoBuru it really doesn't matter. Plague is rare and the signs are obvious before it gets dangerous. If pawn has glowing red eyes, just don't recruit it, if you haven't gotten a pop-up, you've never recruited one until then, and for those after, if it gets sassy, throw yours pawns in to water. Easy
