    The previous version of this motor "Thongsheng 1" suffered from a manufacturing problem. The main axel had grooves on both sides, that caused the break of the axel at those grooves, remaining without a pedal in the middle of nowhere. Do you know if this issue was solved. Can you make a teardown video, so we can see how the axel looks on this version? Thanx.

    Why do you use the spoke to feed into the angular encoder if you could use 3 hall sensors already installed on this motor?

  • @algodude8713
    @algodude871325 күн бұрын

    I believe the hall sensors in the motor do not have sufficient precision to make a good-performing wheel

  • @AlexYeryomin
    @AlexYeryomin25 күн бұрын

    @@algodude8713Hall sensors give the motor controller quite precise position of the rotor. A typical hoverboard motor has 15 pairs of magnets, and with proper processing it is 5400 position per rotation, if I am not mistaken. It is far better than this sensor, which has a resolution around 1 degree (and it has 4 hall sensors inside anyway, but "senses" only 1 magnet at the shaft). I guess, the main reason is that this sensor reads the absolute angular position by itself. This drastically simplifies the code, of course.

    Ciao, innanzitutto ti voglio fare i complimenti e dirti che sei assolutamente underrated su KZread, sia per la qualità dei video che per la qualità dei progetti. (Scrivo in italiano sia per confondere i visualizzatori inglesi sia perché mi sembra di aver capito dagli "indizi" nei video e dall'accento che tu sia italiano). Approfitto del tuo nuovo video, ottimo come sempre, per chiederti una cosa: nell'ultimo mese mi è venuta voglia di costruire un simulatore di guida. Così ho cercato online per capire come fare e ho trovato, oltre ad un altro video da cui ho preso ispirazione per i pedali, il tuo, dove mostri come costruire il volante. Non ho però costruito tutto il force feedback: ho preso ispirazione da un altro video dove si usa un semplice potenziometro. Dopo aver modificato i file 3D e i DXF per adattarli ai miei pulsanti e per utilizzare molle anziché magneti nelle levette, l'ho costruito. Grazie davvero per aver condiviso i file e il video di costruzione! È venuto talmente bene che mi è venuta l'idea di fare una specie di kit del volante e dei pedali da vendere, non i file digitali, ma quelli fisici come kit da assemblare. Volevo chiederti se ti andrebbe bene se potessi usare questi file "remixati" e alcuni proprio rimodellati da zero, ispirati ai tuoi, per questo progetto. Se preferisci (e per farti capire meglio), posso mandarti delle foto e degli screenshot delle parti modificate. Grazie!

  • @creativusme

    Sorry, maybe my assumption of you being italian was wrong, here you get the translated comment: Hi there, First of all, I want to compliment you and say that you are absolutely underrated on KZread, both for the quality of your videos and the quality of your projects. I’m taking advantage of your new video, excellent as always, to ask you something: in the past month, I felt like building a racing simulator. So I searched online to understand how to do it and found, besides another video from which I got inspiration for the pedals, your video, where you show how to build the steering wheel. However, I didn't build the entire force feedback system: I got inspiration from another video that uses a simple potentiometer. After modifying the 3D files and DXF files to adapt them to my buttons and to use springs instead of magnets in the paddles, I built it. Thank you so much for sharing the files and the construction video! It turned out so well that I got the idea of making a kind of kit for the steering wheel and pedals to sell, not the digital files, but the physical ones as a kit to assemble. I wanted to ask if it would be okay with you if I used these "remixed" files and some completely remodeled from scratch, inspired by yours, for this project. If you prefer (and to make it clearer), I can send you photos and screenshots of the modified parts. Thanks!
