    J. Neilson I have a request for a new forged in fire episode if it's possible. A all champion champion tournament from every episode head to head contest where at the end the make a weapon that hasn't been done yet. The broad head schemitar sword.

J, I love the fact that you give info freely and try to advance the craft. That, to me, is truly the downside of the ABS method - it's all about the buck. On the other hand, you constantly say on FiF that they should just grind it without white out. Pick one.

My first chef taught me the same method, had a grinder in the kitchen specifically for his very expensive kitchen knives.

I've watched forged in fire for year's I had no clue you had a KZread channel. I've come across another very helpful tip for canister Damascus steel he uses a white spray paint and man he can pop a can in minutes. I'll go see if I can find the video where he talks about the paints that he uses, and I'll post the link here if KZread will let me.

Hello Mr. Neilson. I have recently started setting up my home forge. I read about forges emitting UV light and sodium flares, which can be harmful to the eyes; however, on further research, I found that sodium flares are really only emitted during glass-work (I hope I am correct?). Therefore, I bought UV blocking safety glasses. Later, though, I found that forges also emit infrared light. Do I need glasses that block this as well? Does anything really need to be blocked? What do you use?

What is usually the ratio of steel pieces to powdered steel? Great video! Also, wouldn't it be more efficient to use an angle grinder to cut two corners and just pop a side off the canister to get to the Damascus Billet?
