Ran across your video looking for interior conversion ideas from my E-150 project. Seven months ago I picked up a 92 Ford E-150 5.8 liter 143K miles, high top conversion van. Same shape and configuration as yours. Basically doing the same thing as you. Converting it for cross country traveling/camping. The gentleman I bought it from was selling it for his brother which had a bad stroke and was not able to provide any history of work that was performed on it. So kind of went blind on condition of the drivetrain parts. I'm pretty mechanically inclined so I could tell it had nothing major wrong with it and drivetrain was in decent shape for the age of the vehicle. Fluids all looked good, no major leaks, motor ran good and van drove great. Since I don't know the condition of any of the parts, I'm going to replace all easily replaceable items which can strand me. Here's my list: wheel bearings, belts, hoses, vacuum lines, pulleys, water pump, smog pump, power steering pump, alternator, battery if > 2 years old, u-joints, radiator, front end parts (tie rods, ball joints, steering linkage, bushings), master cylinder, fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, rotor, cap, plugs, brake pad + shoes, brake shoe springs and cable, wheel cylinders and replace all fluids. I'm going to replace everything I can with Ford Motorcraft parts, Things like front end parts it will be MOOG. At least this will give me a little peace of mind when I do start traveling. I know its a lot of things to replace, but as you know, better to do at home at your convenience/part choices than 1000 miles away and at someone else's mercy. The nice thing about the Econoline platform is they made a million of these, parts are inexpensive and abundant. Also you got the last year before they start putting in the troublesome coil pack per cylinder Triton motors. Good choice. When searching for my van, I purposely only looked for 90-96 years just for this reason. Keep up the good videos. Looking forward to seeing the interior conversion results and hearing your experience.
