Cool man. Thank you for sharing this special part of your life. I wish someone had filmed me skating around 1991-1992 when I was in my prime. I was in Florida and the spots mostly sucked, but I had a few places. I really wish I could go back to that time and get some footage around Cupertino/San Jose, California where I went to high school. Sadly, no one I knew had a camera or was willing to film. My parents never supported my skating. At one point after breaking my arm, my parents made me buy my own health insurance at 16 to keep skating. I remember it was $85 a month. Crazy. I can only imagine what kind of skater I would have been/life I would've had if my family actually supported and encouraged me. Anyway, nice footage. I'd be very proud of that. God bless buddy. Numbers 6:24-26.

My theory is that some people comes to work, and other just come to have social interactions, you can't really to both things at the same time because technical work needs focus, if you are judged by how social you are instead of the quality of your work, you can become mad at trying you best and just getting ignored (because people will misinterpret your lack of social behavior as whatever their emotions will tell them)

So only your boss and your coworkers reached out try VP's, Directors, CTO all reaching out and the labratory equipment being down on call 24/7. With Teams messages, Service Now request's that are incomplete and all priorities are changing constantly and your interrupted by SysAdmins asking how to do things when you dont have access to the servers but have to screen share with them to work through solving an issue. Man developer hell is real but when working with older systems OVMS, Fortran, C and hidden code that is located in 3 different repos, SVN, OVMS proprietary repo and Github migration that was ongoing.

makes me glad I never found a ux job, to be honest. Too much of what you are saying is echoed across LinkedIn and was told to me directly during my job search process. I think the good work environments that you touch on are harder to find and why would people give up those jobs when there is so much more reason to stay with a company that actually treats you in a respectful way. Good video!

I would have gone back and watched the test-fit video again to see what happened. haha of course you only need a tiny touch up of paint. What's it nailing into? It looks great! a little wood paste of the right color and some trim will be fine. Nobody will notice these issues. A great learning experience and again nobody will notice the things you see. Dealing with uneven everything makes it hard. Trim the same stain color. Looks like some green paint is needed along the right edge of the bedroom door.
