  Che tecnica pianistica sublime: note che corrono, volano , sciolte dal tempo. Sempre grande intensità e unicità del timbro e del suono. ABM sublime anche in questo concerto. E dire che è stato accusato di avere un repertorio corto e ripetitivo. Bella la foto con Cortot che ha saputo apprezzare e sostenere il grande pianista.

  巨匠の演奏家の画像が観られる現代人は幸せですね。 ｸﾗｼｯｸピアノ演奏は、ﾐｹﾗﾝｼﾞｪﾘのような完璧主義的演奏でないといけない。素人は、人前で弾くと見苦しいだけなのです。素人でも玄人に並ぶ演奏が稀に存在はしています。天才児が１例です。

  On #1: To be honest, I find the first section of the D minor too slow. It sounds like a dirge. Gould does the same thing, and slower. On #2: The middle section is too stiff and the repeat of the original theme could be a bit faster, but I realize that is a question of taste. On #3: Here, I find him more successful. And no weird tempi. On #4: Again, the whole performance simply too slow for my taste. I realize that it is a richly sonorous piece, but I feel that giving it a bit more energy would enhance its beauty. Listen to Artur Rubinstein for a more satisfactory set of performances.

  I’ve never heard this piece performed in this way. Uniquely dramatic, almost operatically episodic. Astonishing, really.

  I always go to Horowitz for Rachmaninoff, Rubinstein for Chopin's Nocturnes, and Michelangeli for Brahms' Ballades..

  la tizia con la tosse ha davvero raggiunto l'apice della tossicità. il colpetto di tosse può capitare a tutti, per carità, ma questa tizia era sull'orlo del baratro. forse un giorno una buona AI riuscirà a filtrare via questo scempio di catarrofonia. Per fortuna che le Ballate sono sempre intense e struggenti.

  This recording is simply wonderful. Michelangeli was a fantastic pianist, and we have a true measure of how great he was with this live performance and unfortunately at times now forgotten or overshadowed by the note players of today that will not be players of note in subsequent decades. We can all argue about which pianist is 'best' but in my opinion this is the penultimate. It is noteworthy of his immense talent that he mixed up the order of the variations which was and in my opinion is still very much acceptable and most welcomed. Of course the global competition cult has killed anything that deviates from the printed page order...unfortunately.

  Ok il finale è una storia a sé nella storia del pianoforte, ma le note veloci della mano destra che accompagnano la melodia nell' intermezzo mi fanno venire i brividi ogni volta

  Riascolto l'opera 31di Chopin nell'interpretazione di ABM..per l'ennesima volta..alcune ulteriori considerazioni..il Maestro era dotato di un talento straordinario..ma la perfezione deĺ tocco dei piano..dei pianissimo..l'unicità degli staccato..si ottiene solo con uno sforzo sovrumano..con una concentrazione feroce..l'enorme talento non basta..Dio benedica ABM ..per far cantare il pianoforte così chissà quanta fatica ha dovuto fare..
