Hi Joe Ed in Argentina ,,excellent teacher mate, great lancashire vibe mate.
Hey Ed, thanks for posting. Glad that you enjoyed it.
Wow.. this tutorial is a real hidden gem. Trust me, I've jumped about on tons of these Hey Joe tutorials and this is the best taught one out there..An excellent springboard from which to learn the basics and take it from there. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it
Missed the show yesterday, so catching up now. I was looking for any lessons on Richard Thompson, have you done any Joe? Way above my skill level, but I'm curious
Not yet!
Thxx
Great show as always Joe, unfortunately working on a Sunday means I can only catch up later, but always a pleasure to tune in
Thanks, Mark. Such a shame you can’t join us live maybe I will have to do some one off broadcasts at different times.
Hello Joe New Subscriber to your channel. Just watched your live show today. Unfortunately couldn't watch the live show the day it was on due to work, but better late than ever. Great Show mate keep up the Good work. Big shout from liverpool 👍👏👏👏

Hi Joe
Just revisting these lessons after a few years. Great series of lessons these Joe
Brilliant lesson, thanks Joe. I'll add them to my blues.
Awesome video Joe! Thanks for sharing.👏👏
It does not do 432 Hz so it is useless to me. TC dropped the ball. Epic fail. I’m going to donate it.
Reminds me of Eric Clapton's Unplugged, which is in my music collection. This is great. Cheers, Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎤Drop ❤
These are new ones for me. Nice to have a good variety of turnarounds. Will add them to my favourites folder. Thanks Joe. You keep coming up with very helpful lessons.
The perfect lesson
Thanks, Greg
Lovely playing and lovely singing too 🙌🏽
Great lesson I like the advice about feeling the song when it comes to the strumming. Well done.
Thanks. A beginner. Subscribed. I'll be here often.
Danke!

When you bar the A chord and put your pinkie on the fifth threat of the high e string, I believe that is the G shape of the A chord. Really enjoying your lesson.
This is awesome. Thanks!
Thanks Joe ,you are an excellent Maestro mate.

You gonna join me for the live show Rich if so I could answer then ?

Sure
Will try to watch it live. All the best
See you on Sunday Joe!
See you then
Great! Song : key to the Highway. Thanks
good to hear your back doing the lives, how about looking at T-Bone Walkers stormy Monday Joe
Thanks Joe. I'm really looking forward to it as well. Song suggestion: How about your take on Drunken Sailor? I really loved your demonstration on the lesson you did. How can we make it more complete with an intro and turn around, if it makes sense. Or any from Clapton's Unplugged. Anyways, I'll be happy with any songs of your choosing
Thanks joe😊😊😊
Bravissimo👏👏ottima lezione Grazie👏👏mi sono iscritto e messo👍Grazie.mi scusi se.... sarebbe possibile una sua interpretazione di questo brano completa senza interruzioni👋👋👋👍👍
🙏
MERCI +++ from France !!!
Holy crap this is hard to play. Imagine having to do that nightly
Hey Joe, I can't believe I missed this one, its brilliant. Just a small question: I feel the old blues (which I absolutely love) is neither major nor minor. Thus your label of E key or A key. I sometimes feel: does Dorian (minus the second) fits somehow? And also the chromatism seem rather prominent as we see here in the first part and we also saw in Robert Johnson's lessons. So, can you help me understand whether it is by the feel or by some rule? Thanks
Thanks Joe for making this accessible to everyone!
Your welcome Dave
Watched this video yesterday and thought the strings sounded great! Thought I’d give them a try, so ordered a set. Less than 24 hours later, they’ve arrived!!! If they play as well as the service so far, they will be brilliant!!!👏👏👏👏👏
i've tried many, many strings and hardly detected any difference in tonal nuances. Maybe it's because of my vantage point behind the guitar. Very nice playing and choice of songs.
Please make video lessons of Clapton's unplugged versions of Circus left town and My father's eyes
Can you please make a video for Eric Clapton's Unplugged version of My father's eyes?
Just got my Epiphone EJ200 back from my tech with better bridge pins and the output jack repaired, with the D'Addario .011 lights and plugged into the acoustic patch of the new Katana Air EX. THEN playing along to your video on the 65" 📺. Superior sound. Your strings sound close to the D'Addario's, absolutely beautiful with your extraordinary playing and touch. The best part, I learned 2 new songs and improved my E Blues as well. This is one of the best videos I've seen in quite awhile. Thank you for taking the care and time to make it.
Hey Joe, your playing is wonderful as always. So, these strings are extra light as I see on the label. I wonder how medium might sound. I will hunt for these strings in stores now given that I've never even heard of the brand before. I have used Ernie ball (mpre so on electric guitar than the acoustic one), D'addario and Gibson strings. D'addario is my most used ones given its pocket friendly nature as compared and also I like their quality. I have used Gibson only once, it came preset until it wore off. So, will you be using these ones in your next live show here on yt? Off topic question: how often do you change strings?
Hey, great to hear from you. I did actually use these strings on my previous live show. In terms of changing the strings it depends how much playing I’m doing, but generally each month sometimes longer 2 months , but I do play a lot. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
@@JoeMurphysGuitarlessons Your last show was brilliant and now I see that I have already listened to these on the show. The strings are brilliant for sure. And I think I need to start changing strings a bit more often
Great advice, im guilty of never listening to anything with quality speakers. I truly believe I dont have the capability to hear the difference between the different strings. I have 4 different manufacturers strings on the 4 guitars. As always your playing is sounding great. BEST AND PEACE
I hear you Chuck, fair point you make. As you say it can be very difficult to tell the difference but to have any chance decent speakers or headphones are important otherwise everything truly does sound the same thanks for posting.
The strings sound great. I recognized the majority of the songs, which included Beatles songs and one from Neil Young. Cheers, Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Here is a question for ya! Thinking about using Heavy Strings on my D18 (0.14) and then tune 1 full step down. For singing some songs. Thoughts? Done it? I eat Mediums for breakfast so Heavy will be fine… Thank you.
Only one way to find out ! But it sounds like you’ve given it some thought so why not? Give it a go? It’s not something I’ve tried. I can’t even push mediums around.
@@JoeMurphysGuitarlessons Thanks will start the project today… look around on the internet. Many seem to like it Joe.
Amazing tutorial. ❤️🔥🙏Thank you for very detailed explanation. 🙏🙏🙏
How amazing it is that you show the chord diagrams!! Makes it so much easier to begin playing through instead of trial and error. Thank you!!
