    Read a comment that Lestat could have minded control Louis but he didn’t. I beg the differ. Fact, he would have never created Antoinette to spy on Louis and Claudia minds if he could point blank mind control Louis, 🧐. So this attribute given to Lestat restraining himself by not mind controlling Louis, is not accurate when clearly he wanted to control. But he couldn’t. Lestat said once you make a fledgling you no longer can read his or her minds. And if you don’t have access to one’s mind, how can you mind control them. It simply cannot be done. Another observation, Armand did a lot but one thing to consider, why would Louie and Claudia flee their home and ended up in Armand’s viscous vampire coven, if Lestat was all that.

    I loved this movie! Lol Tyler Perry should definitely get more help in the terms of writing. Richard Lawson Daddy preacher definitely poked the bear with that service, that beginning was something else. Movie definitely gives What's love got to do with it, and Enough. Great review, new fam here💕

    I thought the role would've been better if it's was played by someone else , I tried so hard to enjoy the show 🙈😭 it's so disappointing . Waste of my time . She is more suited on Olivia Pope more serious character this one ain't it 😂😂😂😂 love her though

    I thought the acting was good. The cinematography was great. The move entertaining. But like most of Perry’s of movies the script was a mix bag. It was mostly built on shock value. And I’m not sure what message the movie was trying to make.

    He had amazing actors. He just dropped the ball on this plot. It felt rushed. Why didn't we get to see the full back story of Meagan & Cory's love as teenagers.. it would've made more sense on why it was so hard for her to let him go.

    I haven't watched the film yet, but I will. But, Tyler Perry's just like any other filmmaker. His movies are gonna hit or miss. I'm proud of him for what he does and contributes to the community.

    Sis, I am right there with you, subpar. But I did see some interviews with Meagan Good and Cory Hardict, both saying that this movie paid them better than anything else. So perhaps the money he could have paid an additional screenwriter, etc was used to give the seasoned black actors their flowers (and money). And I can live with that.

  • @mysweetperspective

    I just saw that and thought 💭 Well at least black actors are getting paid. A win is a win 🏆

    Can someone explain something to me. In the finale after being exposed, Louis tells Amand "if you hurt Daniel, I will kill you". Isnt Armand older & much stronger than Louis? Couldnt he beat Louis just as Lestat had done?

    As a screenwriter writer filmmaker myself..I thought this movie was not good at all..there's no unique story line..no emotional connection...like diary of mad black woman..or.Good Deeds..I felt those.women pain...was connected to there story and growth...this movie makes no sense...nor do the character actions..Dallas is just a mad abusive man for no reason..Meagan good is the perfect saint..no different than any other Tyler film...ironically Cory hardict is the only semi decent actor in the film...he played his role

    I got done watching the movie a couple of seconds ago and I fully understand why TP's movies have been getting trashed. The family bonding moments with the mom, dad, and daughter were pretty good, and I wish we had those in the movie more than typical TP bull🤬. I now see the light.

    I think Benji is supposed to represent the good guy that often gets overlooked. Dallas is the bad boy who comes from a bad family- he’s exciting, he’s aggressive, he’s a stud, he’s what many of us think of as “masculine” which is why she fell head over heels for him. So the purpose of the contrast between Benji and Dallas was to feed into the stereotype that women often mistakenly pick the exciting bad boys over the good, sensible but boring men.

  • @fearscrx6
    @fearscrx6Күн бұрын

    A couple of days? I watched it over a drive back to Dallas. 3 hours, and the next morning, I was done. I don't agree with some of your commentary but to each it's own. Aria had every reason to be mad about Beres having a son that they all assumed was the uncle. She was right. Many women of past generations were told to accept this kind of behavior. Esp sexually assualt. And for Beres' dad to keep him out of the will was quite hypocritical seeing how he was a womanizer himself. Now, I do agree that the entire family is hypocritical in a sense, and even Vita thinking she can FIX her brother yet freaks out when everyone expects her to. I love Black British television, been a fan for years, especially with Top Boy. Nigerians have their own genre with Nollywood and so does S Africa. But the UK's black British films majorily center around Jamaicans. Drake approached Netflix to bring Top Boy back, i hope someone does the same for this series. Nonetheless, I beg everyone to please watch and let Netflix know that we need a season 2.

    I understand your point of view.. my issue is the fact that this woman had a whole new husband and was supposed to be “over” Beres. 20 plus years later with a new husband, and still mad? I don’t get that. Especially seeing how she treated her current husband. I hate that it was canceled, but the author Candice Carthage Williams did make an ig post where she gives closure on the characters.
