Hi!
I'm a graduate of Berklee College Of Music that earns my living teaching, recording, and playing guitar in North Carolina.
On this page you'll find transcriptions, solo guitar arrangements, and guitar lessons for songs and artists I find particularly interesting, and usually a little off the beaten path. I love twangy guitars, fuzzy psychedelia, open tunings, all kinds of slide guitar, stabby angular playing, as well as thoughtful melodic simplicity.
Thanks for checking out my channel!

Tasty🎸《☆》I have an Epi FB VII vintage Sunburst as well. It's still doing well with the original pickups. I'm thinking about replacing the Vibrola saddle but I burnished out the string slot on the small E string. I was playing ultra light strings & the .008 cut into the slot✌🏼😎☯️
Midnight in harlem at the end?
Is this appropriate for a Blackstar HT5RMKII
i find this the most interesting video of this playlist so far and at the same time the most impossible one to understand. But i still love it!
I'm trying to learn Willie's kick off to Uncloudy Day fro m the Troublemaker album. Is this something you could teach?
Awesome!!
Love the skateboarding analogy. Grew up doing both
Reminds me of the guitar solo from Josie
Hey I got the same guitar with the stripped body... 1966 got int in 1974.
Great vid, good vibes. I like the voice of the nylon. When (if ever) do you feel the steel string is the better choice?
Eric the zen master
Any one can sing or play guitar. They just need an encouraging hand. As a player for 30+ years and a singer (not that great) for 20, I know 🍻
Thanks Eric, I was always skeptical about some believes / concepts stated by some of the greatest musicians (recognised by the mainstream) - saying that they only played by ears and feels, but I also trust that most of the best musicians in history had the ability to analyse music. Analysing definitely help us gain confidence and certainty when playing, therefore better performance. Thank you for making these videos - from Melbourne, Australia
Very nice. Thanks Eric
Good video about the mode progressions. I’m starting to play some old jazz standards and like to analyze what key I’m in and where it’s going. Tonal center is a big thing. The mixolydian mode has the flat 7, what you call the spice note. OK. I try to use the diatonic scales (5 like the pentatonic) for my mode melodies, and pick the pattern that lines up with the starting note of the mode. Beginning 7,1,2 or 1,2,3 or 2,3,4 etc. Iss that how you solo in modes? Thanks for the excellent video.
I have the head version and I opened to see if there is any real "spring " reverb...and yes it has one inside the chasis ,but the reverb tank is to short. thats why it may not sounds as a real spring reverb

The Band has always been one of my favorites. Being from Arkansas we love Levon
Mark Rabot? (SP?) Who is he referring to?
Tom Waits guitarist - maybe the best at playing weird in the world! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_Ribot

Best guitar teacher on YT
Much needed video! Another thing I would recommend to people who really wanna get weird is to study Snakefinger's playing on The Residents "Duck Stab" and "13th Anniversary Live" albums. Learning those songs by ear is a masterclass in weirdness, along with learning Larry Lalonde's parts on the first few Primus albums.
I like this style of soloing very much, Richard Thompson and Tom Verlaine leap to mind
Loved the limerick..! But I would add a major fart sound on the guitar to top it off…🤔 I think I will… hee hee… GREAT advice..! Thanks..✌🏼❤️
Nice! So many nuggets of soloing wisdom in this video. And, not just for playing skronky. Also, the design of that guitar is gorgeous. Love how the curve of the upper bout just flows under the neck into the cutaway. Stunning.
It’s an absolute peach 🤌
thanks
Finally confirmed what I thought! Thanks Eric you are the Overlord of Clarity!! This opens up so much more for my songwriting!!
That was awesome. Thank you
Cool 😎
best guitar teacher on KZread, thinking about scheduling some lessons with you once I get to the upper intermediate level
Gives off some Ritchie Blackmore vibes
You are the best at those bends down to the note.
Blue Rodeo’s “Five Days in May” has entered the chat.
Then add a chromatic phrase and your entering Jerry Garcia territory.
This kinda reminds me of Josh Homme's "drunken stumbles:" kzread.info/dash/bejne/c2eXztqoZqafl5s.html BTW unsurprisingly, I loved your two videos on Josh a while ago.
Incredible video as always, Eric is the best!!!
Oh my god your tone is incredible.
"There are no wrong notes in jazz: only notes in the wrong places." -- Miles Davis.
now THIS is what im lookin for
Do you guys know of any KZread channel like Eric's but for piano? I can't find any
That was cool! I learned a lot, thanks Eric.
Thank you Eric!
During a session recording the sound enginer Say to Dave Rawlings " Come on man... tune on your guitar !". Dissonance Can be misunderstood😂😂😂😂
If you see this, please send your positive thoughts and prayers for my healing journey.
There is a heavy Neil Young sound on that solo at the beginning and things make sense now.
Absolutely fantastic have a wonderful weekend Eric ❤😊
This is cool! Thank you, Eric! ✌️😌🎸
Awesome lesson.. thanks so!!! Always learning something from you!!
that's was a really really cool beginning to the solo
