Love this! I’ve been watching all of this for the past month. Young couple late start. Just fledged 2 today 2 still in the box. Love tree swallows! ☺️

Like others would rather listen to the birds and not be drowned out by the unnecessary background music.

Woke up to what sounded like someone beating on my house with a hammer. Inspected the sound & found one of these birds hanging from a window destroying the wood around the window to eat bumble bees. It has came back several times & has destroyed some of my porch.

We have a pair of Pileated Woodpeckers living on our property. They peck on our log house like it's a big tree and they're looking for grubs. 🙄 They're beautiful birds, though!

18 of these just showed up In Sheldon Field in Northampton here in Western Massachusetts. We are very glad to have them - we've never seen more than 2 or 3 out here. Thank you for the beautiful and instructive and inspiring video!

Excellent clarity. Robert the cat loves to watch birds and others. Your film was so realistic. Of course he tries to follow them in flight as they exit the scene, but this time was a first. Robert tried to enter the empty hole. Thank you for sharing. btw, Robert doesn't harm the birds on our balcony, but he does wait until their gathered and runnnn after them. Thank you again.

Why are you filming the young with the door open?
@geraldkrausse63116 ай бұрын
Thank for asking this I am happy to clear that up for you. As you can see these were fully grown chicks ready to leave the nest. In fact it was the end of the season and most boxes nearby were already empty. So for these fledglings it was just a matter of a few more hours before they would have flown out of there anyway. The door was open for about 10 minutes and the parents continued to feed them. At any other earlier stage I wouldn't have dared to do this.The footage of eggs and hatchlings was filmed with a GoPro build into the nest box before the season and then operated remotely. I have filmed birds for many years and never lost just one. I understand from your perspective it may look somewhat daring. Rest assured the birds were fine. Gerry

It is really incredible to see that there is a long thin cable tie sticking out from the radio collar of the bear, which can poke out an eye of one of the young bears in case of an unfavorable movement. Why does one not think there?
@geraldkrausse63118 ай бұрын
Thank you for visiting, I am pleased to hear that you liked the video. As to your concern of the cable (antenna) there is no danger to any mishaps. The antenna is very soft, flexible, short and very far away from the cubs. We would not receive any data or video from the den without that antenna. So please be assured that this piece of equipment is not interfering with the bears while in their den. Hundreds of hours of recording proves that.

Beautifully done! Love the slow motion spots. So cool your camera is equipped with that. I found a nest in a local park once a few years back. The chicks were close to fledging and have posted some short vids on KZread. It was a parent being very upset with a nearby Barred Owl, that tipped me off to it's location. I had to be very careful whenever I approached the nest site, to make sure no predators were nearby watching. Precious times watching the wee ones. Your video brought back great memories! Keep up the good work, and ignore those rude people who like nothing better than to criticize what they can't do and don't have...
