I am alive today because of these warning films in the early snd late 1960s and they seem harsh, however...sadly, horrifically hard facts. My cousin was Gareth Thomas, he played Blake in Blakes Seven. He played the rabies victim too. I was not allowed to watch much more after the 1st episode as it was so graphic and frightening. Britain was very dangerous to children and dogs where thrown out for the day. I looked after them in the field. One bit me. She was taken and killed as she was rabid. I was luckily not injured as I had my Paddington thick coat on. She never bit me, she had caught rabies. And that is how bad rabies is. And the channel tunnel has caused it to become a health hazard. I also knew about not to cross the road, without looking once twice three times nor ever thinking that I was invincible. We had The fear of electricity and kite flying near pilons. There was a very frightening film about Strangers. My friend was taken by men, she survived. Some didn't. Beware of falling into dark water. Or jumping off a river bridge. Donald Pleasance made us all terrified of Monks! And electric railway lines....😮

Memories of the 1970s come flooding back with this. I thought the ''what to do when you have a water leak'' would have come up. It was really patronizing, the typical family was sat round the dinner table at the start, it's hilarious. 😆

2:01 My happy childhood started here. How fast time has flown by know I look back and remember old Britain as it used to be. Still had it's problems and major issues of course, but it's own identity remained in check and was protected. Today it's gone to the dogs, a broken Britain full of outsiders that only come for the rampant benefits on offer and to spread their division of hate while the Government and woke police forces stands by. Charley would never have guessed this laid in wait 50 years on.

The grim reaper at the river always scared me as a kid, quite dark ad after just watching play school (yes, these were put on BBC). Did like Tufty the Squirrel ones though, Willie Weasel must’ve been in and out of A & E like a yo-yo!🤣. Nice to see these horrifying ads again…kids today would need a cry room after watching these!😁

I never realised what a hooligan I clearly was as a kid destroying the neighbourhood... Maybe it was because I was scared to death by Fridges, water, cars, power relays, cats, dogs, litter, strangers rugs and pedophiles trying to get me in the swimming pool.

I always have a good laugh at the detector van ad. There was no equipment at all in those vans so they couldn't detect anything never mind what channel you were watching! Governments and corporations in the UK have perfected the art of putting the frighteners on the populace, they still do it nowadays and people still fall for it!!
