Curious what state or province you are in
I would love to be in your shoes!
The shoes get pretty worn out sometimes lol. But thank you!
@@fatboicooking69 Mine ain't brand new either.
I watch plenty of Gordon Ramsey. From your perspective how good would you say his advice is just for cooking food in a restaurant?
Depends on what way you want to look at it. A lot of his content that is on KZread, cooking tutorial wise, is designed for the Home Cook. They are meant to be paused, slowed down and re-watched over and over. Really good advice/video guidance to help the average joe trying to learn some basic skills, but doing restaurant line work is its own animal. The constant pressure of having food leave every 15 mins from the window can for sure put a lot of stress on someone, and having a full rail of tickets all with that same timer, adds up quickly. You are always a slave to the printer. Thank you for asking!
Love seeing this outside of TV.
It was pretty crazy to watch it back. Very calming for some reason, just to watch myself work. Thanks for watching!
Love the videos. The video ended and we were still waiting for that “add chicken”. Lol. It’s amazing how many people order burgers at an Italian steakhouse.
The last 30 mins of every service, we always get a massive burger push. A lot of it stems from people sitting in the bar, enjoying a quick bite and a cocktail. Thanks for watching!
Cooking steaks would be nerve wrecking for me. Nowadays everyone is so damn picky about doneness. One time this woman at a table next to ours sent her steak back 3 times yes 3 freaking times. I wanted to just yell to her “get the pork chops”
Just have to be confident in what you are doing. The broiler is my favorite station to work, but I was never always good at it, when first starting out. People not knowing how they want their steaks cooked is a real thing and it is to be expected.
Why throw trash the food simply because you used the wrong meat? Couldn’t you have simply completed it somewhat and gave it to an employee or packaged it for a donation somewhere
i just subscribed Mr Fatboi😊😊 you remind me of MrT..he is also a chef vloger with same style of vlogging😊👍👍
I LOVE MR.T. I'll take the compliment. Thank you so much!
good video saw your pt 1 and it was great! had to watch this one
Hope you enjoyed it!
sounds like a professional chef with proper call backs and cares about the im guessing hoods to be pulled down etc, great video and pride in your work! from a cook of a decade this is amazing to see.
Every Sunday we pull the filters down from the hoods, to give them a good soaking. My broiler chef wanted to pull them down mid service, but its always better to pull em down after. I love working the pass, a lot of the guys on the line like to say I know how to drive the car. Takes a lot of practice and confidence sometimes. Thanks for watching!
More of this content! I looooove pov line cooking.
Got plenty more in the works, just gotta find the proper days to get them filmed. Business has been booming
kitchen is clean
you are amazing
Ohhh stop it! Thanks for watching!
i am not and have never been any kind of chef. Never worked in a kitchen at all. Can you tell me what exactly the "executive chef " does at your kitchen? cause from what I saw he just plays on his phone.....?
Our executive chef is still fairly new to this restaurant and is still training. If you noticed, I was kind of training him on some of the garnishes throughout the video. We had several issues with staffing and ordering this day as well. He was doing/sending a lot of messages to our reps/sales team to get some bigger parties coming up in the week, sorted out. Looks bad, from the outsider perspective, but there was plenty of good reasoning behind it.
@@fatboicooking69 I am a heavy equipment op for my local counties public works dept. So I totally understand public, or outsider perception. appreciate the explanation.
That burnt, not well done.
Just a picture I found on the internet lol. I would classify that steak as having a really great sear/crust on it. Not burnt, but that is just my opinion
Kur ce rudens naktis - eikite tuoktis
killing it bro!
Amazing looking food!!!
That is a very clean kitchen -- love to see that!
Love the videos Keep em coming Pov video's are so satisfying!
More to come! Stay tuned for pt. 2. It gets real spicy
VALID COOKERY reminds me of my line days
Title edit: How to plate a dish and sound rape-y at the same time
That will be $99999999999 dollors sir
I like hard to chew meat its usually soft asf tho ecpescially well done type
Medium rare is top for me
I prefer all my steaks besides a ribeye cooked med-rare. With a ribeye, I usually go medium, just to get that fat rendered a little bit more.
@@fatboicooking69 yea same
I used to go for well done, but medium is better,.trust me😊
If your well done steak is chewy, you did it wrong...just admit you're a shitty cook.
lol why do y'all care? Its not like you prepared the steak for yourself.
Because people who order well-done steak are mentally unwell should not be allowed to make decisions for themselves
Its very possible to make a well done steak thats still soft. You people just dont know how to cook.
Ong bro
You are very much correct. Some chefs can nail it perfectly, some people just forget about it and send out charcoal. Just think about the family BBQ, and the weird uncle serves the little coal pucks that are supposed to be burgers lol
My dad used to order this, now he orders medium well steak
I hope that's nothing but butter dripping in that pan. 😋😋😋
Sexy swoosh indeed
If done correctly a “well done” steak should be soft, and break apart easily.
What is done correctly to you?
@@sylescjacovitz6785 well done but not burnt you crazy people
It only needs to be fully brown on the inside
If done correctly a steak will never be well done
Hahahah
That shit trash
Fraud
I wanna learn how to do that so I can eat my scraps in my fridge and pretend like I’m a chef
That is the most real thing Ive heard all day, and its fucking 3am. I dont know anyone who doesn't try to act like a chef when their just microwaving random shit
@@canonbaker206When THEIR...? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Jesus Christ, bro, how can you fail so hard at something so basic? You can wipe your own ass and tell your own shoes can't you? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
❤❤❤❤ my husband lives well dine everything lol
do more of like this pla. and longer vids pls
Already got a few in the works! Stay tuned!
This is a GREAT idea, and you should keep it going. I worked on the other side of the line during my student days, but also pitched in for prep if needed. Love the mise-en-place.
Thanks for sharing!
This is so cool to see the behind the scenes action. Do more of these -- love it!
Pretty cool to see behind the scenes Bailey. Who washes all those pans you throw under the counter?
Our dishwasher. We have a pan that he will come and empty every so often. Kind of a ninja with it
Awesome video!
Thanks buddy ol pal
I enjoy simplicity at its finest: Eggs. Bacon. Bread. Simple to quickly warm up some eggs, toss bread into toaster (or fry pan) & place the bacon in the oven. Set it & leave for ~10min & reassemble. Simple 🫶🏽
Never thought to try a potato pancake (or cup.) You opened up my eyes to something I could try, but, won’t implement into my style. It’s a bit.. Complex in comparison so a simple ‘set eggs & bacon, walk away.’
That was literally our dishwasher he would sing every day in that pit no matter how busy we were 😂
Would be great for parties too!
Looks delicious! But you could have shown the finished product :D
I was just so hungry I had to dig in right away! Too good. Trust me, I wish I could have gotten that shot lol
More like daily struggles of working with the public
YESSSSssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
