I know it’s a marvel movie, but I was always bothered by age of ultron. Tony wanted to create an ai program that would be able to replace the avengers’ role as earth’s protection from cosmic threats. Something that would be able to use the iron man technology and just do what tony does without tony, en masse. But that is literally JARVIS. Tony has had JARVIS since at least the first iron man movie, and it was probably one of Tony’s first ever creations that he still actively uses. They want to use the mind stone to create a new ai, but what would that new program be capable of that JARVIS is not? JARVIS had already proven capable of piloting Tony’s other suits, and JARVIS has probably been doing Tony’s technical grunt work for decades, he is clearly capable of running Tony’s technical operations when Tony is gone. Tony even says in the movie that ultron incapacitated JARVIS because he was threatened by his capabilities. Then they used JARVIS anyway to create Vision. Why not just do that from the start, use a copy of JARVIS with the mind stone instead of something completely new?

Pretty sure the power stone’s “pain inducement” is less inducing pain and more they’re being filled with so much energy it’s painful… which I guess is sort-of the same except that it’s more likely to kill you from prolonged contact. Same with the “organic matter destruction”. Directed power tearing things apart. It’s all about power manipulation. Space manipulation (that wasn’t terrain manipulation he was bending space) Time manipulation Mind manipulation, etc etc. This entire video is grossly oversimplifying what the stones are doing in each scene. While a lot of it is technically correct, it’s like saying fire is air that’s hot. A gross oversimplification.
